An image processing apparatus capable of being remotely operated by a remote operation device includes an operation acceptor, and a hardware processor, wherein the hardware processor executes a process corresponding to the operation accepted by the operation acceptor, in the case where a cooperation mode is set, executes a process in accordance with a command received from the remote operation device, acquires a type of a first medium used by the remote operation device, in the case where the cooperation mode is not set, notifies the user by using a second medium when an operation is accepted by the operation acceptor, and in the case where the cooperation mode is set, if the second medium is different from the first medium, notifies the user by using the first medium when an operation is accepted by the operation acceptor.

An information processing apparatus includes plural communication units, a determination unit, and a controller. The plural communication units are configured to be capable of conducting a wireless communication. The determination unit is configured to determine a communication unit from among the plural communication units in accordance with whether a mobile communication terminal that is attempting to conduct a communication is approaching the information processing apparatus. The controller is configured to perform a control so as to start the communication using the communication unit determined by the determination unit.

In an information processing terminal, a processor receiving identification information from another program. The identification information is for identifying an image processing operation. The processor performs a first determination process determining whether the specified apparatus is capable of executing the image processing operation identified by the identification information. The processor performs a first display process displaying determination information indicating a result of the first determination process. An example peripheral device implementation system and associated methods are described. The example peripheral device implementation system includes a central database, a peripheral service including a peripheral service interface, a communication platform, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and a processing device. The processing device can be configured to establish communication between a cloud environment and the central database, the peripheral service, and a client device. The processing device can be configured to establish communication between a peripheral device and the cloud environment, and automatically perform a self-registration of the peripheral device to the cloud environment. Using the processing device, the client device can be notified of communication with the peripheral device, and a first request can be electronically transmitted from the client device to the cloud environment, from the cloud environment to the peripheral service, and from the peripheral service to the peripheral device to perform a function with the peripheral device.

An information processing apparatus controls a printing process performed by an image forming apparatus. The information processing apparatus includes a communication controller configured to perform communication with the image forming apparatus; a display controller configured to cause a display to display an operation screen for accepting a setting or an operation relating to the printing process; a data transmitter configured to transmit predetermined data by the communication to the image forming apparatus, while the operation screen is being displayed; and a renderer configured to generate print data to be transmitted to the image forming apparatus by the communication, according to the setting or the operation accepted at the operation screen.

A communication system comprising an information processing apparatus and a mobile terminal, wherein when the mobile terminal receives a packet transmitted from the information processing apparatus, it determines whether or not a login condition for transmitting a login request is satisfied based on a received signal strength of the packet, and it transmits the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it determines that the login condition is satisfied, and does not transmit the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it is determines that the login condition is not satisfied.

An image display system is configured such that an image display device and an image processing device are connected to each other through a network. The image display device is provided with: an instruction information generation unit for generating instruction information pertaining to image-processing to be performed on an image input signal; an image signal transmission unit for transmitting the instruction information to the image processing device; a corrected signal reception unit for receiving a corrected image input signal obtained through image-processing performed by the image processing device on the basis of the instruction information; and a display signal output unit for outputting an image output signal based on the corrected image input signal, to an object where an image is to be displayed. An information processing apparatus comprises a first interface that performs wireless communication relayed through a base station and a second interface that performs wireless communication not relayed through a base station, and the information processing apparatus allows the wireless communication by the second interface to start under a condition that the wireless communication by the first interface has been started so that it is possible to set the same frequency channel used in the two types of wireless communication.

Systems and methods are provided though which a transaction, e.g., in a multi-tier, distributed application may be initiated from a portable or hand-held device, such as a smartphone. A computer system or systems, possibly remote from the device, may approve the transaction, complete it, or both, and the remote computer system or systems may cause a document to be printed, e.g., by a printer physically proximate to the device.

Aspects of the invention are illustrated by embodiments in which a drug prescription may be created electronically using a hand-held device. In such an embodiment, the prescription may be transmitted to one or more remote computer systems, such as an application server, for processing. If specified, the remote computer systems may cause a prescription to be printed, e.g., at a printer near the prescriber's location. The prescriber may sign the printed prescription and give it to a patient or pharmacy.
