Methods and systems for automatically transferring scanned documents from multi-function devices to personal devices
According to aspects illustrated herein, methods and systems for direct and automatically transferring a scanned document from a multi-function device to a personal device of the user, are disclosed. The method includes receiving a document for scanning. The received document is scanned to generate a scanned document. Upon completion of the scanning, a pre-defined code corresponding to the scanned document is generated. The pre-defined code is displayed to a user on a user interface of the multi-function device. Then, a request to scan the displayed pre-defined code is received via the personal device of the user. Upon successful scanning, the scanned document is automatically downloaded on the personal device of the user after appropriate authorization.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR A COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A communication device may cause an output unit to output first specific information obtained by using a first public key in a case where a first specific signal is received from a first external device, receive a first authentication request in which the first public key is used from the first external device which has obtained the first public key, send a first authentication response to the first external device in a case where the first authentication request is received from the first external device, and establish a first wireless connection with the first external device in a case where the first authentication response is sent to the first external device.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus may include a processor including a processing unit, a creating unit, and an output unit. The processing unit stores image data created by executing a job in a storage unit. The creating unit creates an information code representing information indicating a storage area of the storage unit in which the image data is stored. The output unit displays the information code created by the creating unit on a display unit.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to create a preview image of an image created by executing a job; store image data of the created preview image in a memory; create an information code representing a storage area of the memory where the image data is stored; and display the information code created by the processor on a display.
System and method using matrix barcode information to perform point-to-point information exchange
A system and a method using matrix barcode information to perform point-to-point information exchange are provided. An electronic device is connected to a document-processing device by way of wired connection and instantly exchange information with a mobile device held by a user. The electronic device and the mobile device are wirelessly connected through matrix barcode information. The electronic device provides a file transfer zone for storing information to be transmitted. When the user transmits a remote command to the electronic device through the mobile device, the electronic device directly drives the document-processing device according to the remote command for the document-processing device to perform a corresponding automated document-processing action, such as scanning or printing. Given the instant information exchange scheme established based on the matrix barcode information, the document-processing efficiency can be enhanced.

Server receiving image data from terminal device and transmitting print instruction to printer, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing program instructions for controlling the server
In a server, a processor receives, in a case where the memory does not store image data in association with a first identifier identifying a user, from a printer the first identifier inputted to the printer through a user's operation and transmits first location information to the printer for prompting that the first location information is inputted to a terminal device. The first location information includes related information related thereto. The processor receives target image data and second location information from the terminal device, and stores related image data in association with the first identifier. The processor receives a second identifier from the printer and transmits a print instruction to the printer in a case where the received second identifier matches the stored first identifier. The processor prohibits transmission of the print instruction to the printer in a case where the received second identifier does not match the first identifier.
