Image analyzer determines in-use ink information using image data according to preset conditions and acquires prespecified image quality information when image is printed
An image analyzer includes an in-use ink information determination section that determines an ink type to be used for printing and an ink quantity to be used for printing for the ink type as in-use ink information by using image data in accordance with conditions set in advance, a printed image quality information acquisition section that acquires at least one item of printed image quality information on image quality specified in advance and provided when the image data is printed by using the determined in-use ink information, and a display section that displays at least one of the in-use ink information and the printed image quality information.
IMAGE CATALOGER BASED ON GRIDDED COLOR HISTOGRAM ANALYSIS
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for cataloging images based on a gridded color histogram analysis. The computer accesses an image gallery specified by a user, wherein the image gallery is at least one of an image gallery stored on a user computing device, an image gallery stored on a user account at a third-party image storage, or an image gallery searched on the web. The computer receives a request to search the image gallery. The computer performs a search of the image gallery, wherein the search is using a color based histogram algorithm based on a user input. The computer transmits a cataloged and sorted image gallery to the user computing device to be displayed.
COLOR CALIBRATION
Certain examples described herein relate to color calibration. In certain cases, a plurality of test patches are printed with a printing system, the test patches corresponding to a set of initial color sample points and a set of test colors. Color properties of the printed test patches are measured. In certain examples, a gamut descriptor is identified from a plurality of gamut descriptors using the color properties of the test colors. Each gamut descriptor defines a set of up-sampling parameters for a particular color gamut. Measured color properties for the initial color sample points are up-sampled using the set of up-sampling parameters for the identified gamut descriptor to generate up-sampled data. In certain cases, the up-sampled data is used to generate a color mapping to be applied to print job data received by the printing system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COLOR GAMUT MAPPING COLOR GRADIENT PRESERVATION
A method and apparatus for gamut mapping color gradient preservation is described. In one example, the method and apparatus obtains a source image having a plurality of source color gamut pixels in a source color gamut, wherein the plurality of source color gamut pixels include a same hue value and a same luminance value and define a color gradient, and converts the plurality of source color gamut pixels to a plurality of target color gamut pixels such that the color gradient of the plurality of source color gamut pixels is preserved by the plurality of target color gamut pixels in a target color gamut. The method and apparatus provides the plurality of target color gamut pixels for display on a target color gamut display.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes a control unit configured to control a conversion characteristic for converting image data based on a first color space into image data based on a second color space based on a difference between a specific color and a peripheral color of the specific color in the first color space, wherein the control unit changes a first conversion characteristic into a second conversion characteristic such that a color difference between the specific color and the peripheral color converted by the second conversion characteristic is greater than a color difference between the specific color and the peripheral color converted by the first conversion characteristic.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus includes an input unit configured to input image data; a generation unit configured to generate image data having undergone color gamut conversion from the image data input by the input unit using a conversion unit configured to convert a color gamut of the image data input by the input unit into a color gamut of a device configured to output the image data; a correction unit configured to correct the conversion unit based on a result of the color gamut conversion; and a control unit configured to control execution of the correction by the correction unit for an object included in the image data input by the input unit.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus includes: an input unit which inputs image data; a generation unit which generates image data having undergone color gamut conversion from the image data input by the input unit using a conversion unit configured to convert a color gamut of the image data input by the input unit into a color gamut of a device configured to output the image data; a correction unit which corrects the conversion unit based on a result of the color gamut conversion; and a control unit which controls execution of the correction by the correction unit for a content included in the image data input by the input unit.
Image forming apparatus, and method of controlling the same
An image forming apparatus stores raster image data corresponding to a background in a compressed format and generates intermediate data corresponding to a foreground of the background based on obtained print data. A decompressor decompresses the raster image data stored in the memory device and a rasterizer generates new raster image data based on the raster data corresponding to the background obtained by the decompression and the generated intermediate data corresponding to the foreground. When a request is made to stop the generation of the new raster image data in a state of waiting for at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background to be decompressed, the rasterizer stops generation of the new raster image data, and the decompressor continues decompressing the at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background.
COLOR LEARNING
A computing device, programmed to: acquire a color image and transform the color image into a color-component map. The computer can be further programmed to process the color-component map to detect a traffic sign by determining spatial coincidence and determining temporal consistency between the color-component map and the traffic sign.
