METHOD FOR WATERMARKING ENCRYPTED DIGITAL CONTENT, METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RETRIEVING A UNIQUE IDENTIFIER FROM WATERMARKED CONTENT AND CONTENT DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
A method for watermarking an encrypted digital content stored in a content distribution network (CDN) method comprises the steps of receiving in the CDN, a non-watermarked encrypted content and marking metadata, said non-watermarked encrypted content being the result of an encryption of a non-watermarked clear content by a stream cipher process, said marking metadata indicating locations in the content suitable for a modification of said content; using a watermark formed of watermark values and corresponding to a unique identifier; and producing a watermarked encrypted content by combining in the CDN, with a combination function, the values forming the watermark with the non-watermarked encrypted content in locations indicated by the marking metadata.
Video assisted digital audio watermarking
A system and method for embedding digital audio watermarks in audio source information based at least upon identified video content are described. An audio/video processing system receives audiovisual data. A video content analyzer within the system analyzes video source information of the audiovisual data, determines video content depicted by data in the video source information, and generates an indication of the video content. An audio watermark embedder of the system receives the indication, and based at least in part on the indication, adjusts watermark embedding parameters used for embedding the audio watermark in the audio source information.
Embedding digital content within a digital photograph during capture of the digital photograph
A wireless communication device comprises position determining system, a digital imaging system and a photograph customization system coupled to the position locating system and the digital imaging system. The position determining system is configured to provide information indicating a current position of the wireless communication device. The digital imaging system is configured to create digitally rendered images of visual content acquired thereby. The visual content is displayed on an image viewing structure of the digital imaging device while being acquired. The photograph customization system is configured to use the current location of the digital imaging device for providing one or more embeddable content images and to display information from at least one of the one or more embeddable content images on an image viewing structure of the digital imaging device while the visual content being acquired by the digital imaging system is being displayed on the image viewing structure.
DIFFERENCE ATTACK PROTECTION
In one embodiment, a method for preventing a difference attack on watermarked video content is implemented on at least one computing device and includes: manipulating values of a set of pixels to embed a forensic watermark in at least one video frame in a video content item, where the manipulating is in accordance with a given magnitude of change in the values, and introducing random noise to the at least one video frame, where the random noise is random noise of the given magnitude.
INTEGRITY VERIFICATION OF AN AUDIO-VISUAL DATA STREAM
Methods and systems are provided for integrity verification of an audio-visual data stream. The method includes inserting a watermark into a frame of the visual data stream or into an audio window of a corresponding audio data stream, where the watermark includes: a hash code of the previous frame of the visual data stream and a hash code of the audio window of the audio data stream, and where the audio window corresponds in time to the previous frame of the visual data stream.
DETERMINING A QUALITY MEASURE FOR A PROCESSED VIDEO SIGNAL
A method of determining a quality measure for a processed video signal generated from an original video signal. A statistical metric for a value for a set of pixels of the original video signal is determined, and the statistical metric for the value for a corresponding set of pixels of the processed video signal is also determined. The quality measure for the processed video signal is then determined by comparing the statistical metrics for the original video signal and the processed video signal.
Data storage and access systems
Data storage and access systems enable downloading and paying for data such as audio and video data, text, software, games and other types of data. A portable data carrier has an interface for sending and receiving data, data memory for storing received content data, and payment validation memory for providing payment validation data to an external device. The carrier may also store a record of access made to the stored content, and content use rules for controlling access to the stored content. Embodiments store further access control data and supplementary data such as hot links to web sites and/or advertising data. A complementary data access terminal, data supply computer system, and data access device are also described. The combination of payment data and stored content data and use rule data helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access to data such as compressed music and video data, especially over the Internet.
SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR EVIDENTIARY MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL DATA ASSOCIATED WITH A LOCALIZED MIRANDA-TYPE PROCESS
An evidentiary management process for digital data associated with a localized Miranda-type process includes first detecting an electronic Miranda-type process trigger event, capturing audio/video of a suspect and storing a unique identifier of the suspect, selecting a particular stored Miranda-type warning variation, and then playing back the selected warning variation and storing an indication thereof. Then the unique identifier of the suspect and the stored indication of the warning variation are aggregated into a single data structure. An electronic anti-tamper process is then applied to the single data structure to generate an anti-tamper indicator, and the single data structure and anti-tamper indicator are stored or transmitted to a remote device.
Video watermarking techniques
Improved techniques for video watermarking are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a processor circuit and a watermarking module for execution by the processor circuit to generate disabled video content through modification of a video content item, send a common stream comprising the disabled video content, and send a private content key for the disabled video content, the private content key defining a watermark for the video content item. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HARDWARE-ENFORCED, ALWAYS-ON INSERTION OF A WATERMARK IN A VIDEO PROCESSING PATH
A method, apparatus, article of manufacture, and a memory structure for inserting a watermark in a media program is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the method comprises the steps of receiving data comprising the media program in the receiver disposed at a subscriber station, generating a watermark, the watermark generated at least in part according to a secure data processor-unique identifier irreversibly stored in the secure data processor, processing the received data to reproduce the media program, and inserting portions of the generated watermark in the reproduced media program at locations determined at least in part according to the secure data processor-unique identifier to produce a watermarked media program provided for display.
