A light source system comprises: a light-emitting device for emitting a first light and a second light in sequence; a beam splitting system with which the first light is divided into one beam in a first range of wavelength and the other beam in a second range of wavelength, respectively emitted along a first optical path and a second optical path, and also with which at least a part of the second light is emitted along the first optical path; a first spatial light modulator for modulating the beam emitted from the beam splitting system along the first optical path; a second spatial light modulator for modulating the beam emitted from the beam splitting system along the second optical path. The light source system has the advantages of high light-emitting efficiency and low cost. A projection system comprising the aforementioned light source system is also provided.

The imaging apparatus detects whether a boundary between adjacent ones of the plurality of spectral filters included in the multi-spectral filter is in a position to block the opening in the imaging element, and performs signal processing for invalidating an image output from the imaging element in a period in which it is detected that the boundary between the spectral filters is in the position to block the opening in the imaging element.

The light source driving method includes: driving a blue light source of a light source module to output a blue light beam at a first power and a second power respectively, and driving a red light source of the light source module to output a first red light beam at the first power and the second power respectively, wherein a color wheel module of the light source module converts the blue light beam to generate a second red light beam; sensing luminance of the first red light beam and the second red light beam, and correspondingly generating red light luminance information; calculating red light driving parameters of the red light source and the blue light source according to luminance information of the first red light beam and the second red light beam; and controlling, according to the red light driving parameters, electrical signals for driving the blue light source and the red light source, so as to maintain the sum of luminance of the red light beams to be approximate to or equal to a target red light luminance.
