The flexible substrate includes a first film layer, a first wiring layer on the first film layer and comprising a plurality of wirings, a second film layer on the first wiring layer, and a second wiring layer on the second film layer and comprising a plurality of wirings. The wirings of the second wiring layer include a first_first wiring and a first_second wiring, the first_first wiring and the first_second wiring extend in a same direction along a same line and are spaced from each other by a gap therebetween. The gap is at an edge of the base substrate in a plan view.
PROJECTOR AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROJECTOR
A projector includes: an image interface unit; a projection unit which projects a projection image based on image information, onto a screen; a setting unit which sets an aspect ratio of the projection image; a projection control unit which causes the projection unit to project the projection image according to the aspect ratio set by the setting unit; and an EDID processing unit which causes first information about an aspect ratio of the image information to be transmitted to a PC. If the setting unit changes the aspect ratio of the projection image from a first aspect ratio to a second aspect ratio, the EDID processing unit causes the first information based on the second aspect ratio to be transmitted to the PC.
Control of light spreading with blurring element in projector systems
Projection systems and/or methods comprising a blurring element are disclosed In one embodiment, a blurring element may comprise a first plate having a pattern on a first surface and second plate. The first plate and the second plate may comprise material having a slight difference in their respective index of refraction. In another embodiment, a blurring element may comprise a first plate having a pattern thereon and a second immersing material. The blurring element may be placed in between two modulators in a dual or multi-modulator projector system. The blurring element may be configured to give a desired shape to the light transmitted from a first modulator to a second modulator.
Image display device and image display method
An image display device includes: a light source unit that sequentially supplies light of a plurality of colors; an image formation unit that is provided with a pixel region that is made up of a plurality of pixels, light of a plurality of colors supplied by the light source unit sequentially irradiating the pixel region, and images of a plurality of colors being sequentially formed by the modulation of the incident light by each of the pixels; and a controller that controls the image-forming operation of the image formation unit. The controller causes formation of images of at least one color among the plurality of colors with pixel combinations made up of a plurality of pixels as pixel units and individually controls each pixel that make up the pixel combinations.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DRIVING APPARATUS AND IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
A liquid crystal driving apparatus configured to drive a liquid crystal display element includes a processor configured to generate a display image signal from an input image signal, and a driver configured to display, according to the display image signal, a tone to a pixel in the liquid crystal display element by controlling a voltage applied to the pixel in each of a plurality of subframe periods contained in one frame period between a first voltage and a second voltage lower than the first voltage. The processor performs a smoothing process for smoothing a tonal difference equal to or smaller than 3% of a full scale value of the tone in a target image area in the input image signal.
Discharge lamp driving device, projector, and discharge lamp driving method
According to an aspect of the invention, a discharge lamp driving device includes a discharge lamp driving section, a control section, and a voltage detecting section. The control section is configured to execute a first discharge lamp driving for executing a first control and a second control for supplying a driving current including a direct current and an alternating current to a discharge lamp. In the first discharge lamp driving, the control section executes the first control when the interelectrode voltage is equal to or smaller than a first threshold voltage at predetermined setting timing and executes the second control when the interelectrode voltage is larger than the first threshold voltage at the predetermined setting timing. A rate of the direct current in the second control is larger than a rate of the direct current in the first control.
Digital light projector having invisible light channel
A digital light projector having a plurality of color channels including at least one visible color channel providing visible light and at least one invisible color channel providing invisible light. The digital light projector including a projecting device projecting light from the plurality of color channels onto an environment in the form of an array of pixels which together form a video image including a visible image and an invisible image, the video image comprising a series of frames with each frame formed by the array of pixels, wherein to form each pixel of each frame the projecting device sequentially projects a series of light pulses from light provided by each of the plurality of color channels, with light pulses from the at least one visible color channel forming the visible image and light pulses from the at least one invisible color channel forming the invisible image.
PROJECTION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A projection apparatus that projects a projection image includes a first panel, a second panel, a projection optical system that projects light that has passed through the first panel and the second panel, an information acquisition unit that acquires light reduction information of a region which is a part of the projection image and overlaps with an image projected by another projection apparatus, and a panel control unit that controls the first panel based on data of the projection image and controls the second panel based on the light reduction information.
Projection apparatus, method of controlling projection apparatus, and projection system
Each projection apparatus in a multi-projection system has a liquid crystal panel, a driving circuit configured to perform PWM control of the liquid crystal panel, and a projection image processing unit configured to perform edge blending processing to perform compositing display by each projection apparatus and processing to change gain properties of the edge blending processing by each projection apparatus. Synchronization of each projection apparatus is maintained by a synchronization circuit. Therefore, a sum of image gain in a region of image compositing by each projection apparatus is 1, and the position and image gain properties of the compositing region are changed for each frame, so the position of image deterioration changes for each frame.
