Projector device and control method
An improvement in quality is achieved by improving a contrast ratio. Therefore, in a projector device including a light source device using a solid-state light source (AR) includes a temperature adjustment device (190) capable of setting a state in which a temperature of at least the solid-state light source is caused to increase. Then, a determination unit (12) determines a luminance state of an image and a control unit (16) controls a heat state of the solid-state light source (AR) by controlling the temperature adjustment device (190) on the basis of a determination result. In particular, by increasing the temperature of the solid-state light source (AR) in accordance with an image, light emission efficiency is lowered to decrease luminance.
Projection screen control method and projectioin-type display device
A projection screen control method of one embodiment of the present disclosure includes irradiating a display member with first control light, and irradiating the display member with second control light, in which the irradiating the display member with the first control light and the irradiating the display member with the second control light are performed in sequence. The display member has a visible light transmittance or a visible light reflectance that varies depending on light, and contains a photochromic material, and the first control light and the second control light have different light intensities.
Method for calibrating at least one laser diode
A method for a calibration of at least one laser diode, in particular at least one laser diode of a laser projection device. The at least one laser diode is calibrated on the basis of a comparison of at least one currently acquired characteristic value of the at least one laser diode with at least one characteristic value, stored in at least one database, of a model laser diode that is at least substantially identical in construction to the at least one laser diode.
DRIVING CIRCUIT AND PROJECTION DEVICE
A driving circuit for driving a light source and a projection device are provided. The driving circuit includes a power converter, a detection circuit, and a control circuit. The power converter provides a driving power to the light source. The detection circuit provides a feedback signal according to a current value of the light source. The control circuit receives an operation command and the feedback signal. The control circuit determines whether the driving circuit enters a light-load state according to at least one of the operation command and the feedback signal. When the driving circuit is determined to enter the light-load state, the control circuit controls the power converter to decrease a current value of the driving power and controls the power converter to increase a switching frequency of the driving power. The driving circuit and the projection device may prevent the light source from flickering under the light-load state.
Image Projector
An image projector includes a spatial light modulator (SLM) with a two dimensional array of pixel elements controllable to modulate a property of light transmitted or reflected by the pixel elements. An illumination arrangement delivers illumination to the SLM. A collimating arrangement collimates illumination from the SLM to generate a collimated image directed to an exit stop. The illumination arrangement is configured to sequentially illuminate regions of the SLM, each corresponding to a multiple pixel elements. A controller synchronously controls the pixel elements and the illumination arrangement so as to project a collimated image with pixel intensities corresponding to a digital image.
COMPLIANCE VOLTAGE BASED ON DIODE OUTPUT BRIGHTNESS
A method for operating a display comprising a plurality of emission diodes. For each emission diode, an output brightness of the emission diode is monitored over a range of compliance voltages. Based on the monitored output brightness of the emission diode, an inflection voltage is determined. At the inflection voltage, increasing a commanded compliance voltage does not yield an above-threshold increase in output brightness. Further, decreasing the commanded compliance voltage from the inflection voltage yields an above-threshold decrease in output brightness. In response to receiving a request for the emission diode to operate at a peak output brightness, an applied compliance voltage is commanded that is within a threshold voltage of the inflection point voltage.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY SYSTEM
A display device is provided with an input unit for inputting a detection signal from a detection unit capable of detecting the brightness of ambient light around a dimming member. The display device is also provided with a control unit which, on the basis of the detection signal input by the input unit, controls at least one of the optical transmittance of the dimming member and the operation of a projector to adjust an image projected onto the dimming member to a display state corresponding to the brightness of the ambient light.
Excitation light intensity control system and method, and projection system
An excitation light intensity control system, including a lighting part, an imaging part and a control part. The lighting part includes a light source; the imaging part includes a light modulator and a color conversion element; the excitation light emitted from the light source is imported to the light modulator for modulation; the modulated excitation light excites the color conversion element to produce multicolor excited light; the lighting part further includes a light recycling system used for recoupling part of the excitation light emitted from the light modulator to be incident to the light modulator; the control part includes a controller used for receiving original image data and controlling the intensity of the excitation light emitted from the light modulator and/or the light source.
Projector light source dimming using metadata from future frames
A projection display system comprises a light source configured to emit a light in response to a content data; an optical modulator configured to modulate the light; and a controller configured to adjust a light level of the projection display system based on the content data and a metadata relating to a future frame, thereby to reduce a perceptibility of a visual artifact.
Projection apparatus
An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to rotation of a projection lens. A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; a control unit; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder, a detection unit that detects a rotation state of the holder, and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. The locking mechanism unit does not bring rotation of the holder into the locked state when a rotation state of the holder is other than a specific state. The specific state is a rotation state in which the locking mechanism unit is capable of bringing rotation of the holder into the locked state. When rotation of the holder is not brought into the locked state, the control unit disables an operation relating to the locked state or an operation of turning off the power supply.
