SUTURE CARRIER DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
The present disclosure is directed towards an apparatus for holding a suture. The apparatus may comprise a carrier including a base. The carrier may be configured to retain a cover over the base. The base may be configured to mount the carrier on a fixture and include a primary wrapping path disposed thereon, the wrapping path for wrapping at least a portion of a suture thread. The apparatus may include a plurality of suture retaining canopies located at an outer portion of the primary wrapping path and projecting from the base. The suture retaining canopies may be configured to facilitate retaining a suture thread within the primary suture path. The apparatus may also include a needle retainer disposed on the base. The needle retainer may include at least one slot configured to retain a needle.
Apparatus and Methods for Loading a Closing Device
A method and apparatus are disclosed for loading a closing device onto a delivery device at the point of use and for using the apparatus for treating the intervertebral disc. The apparatus includes a cartridge for loading a closing device onto a delivery device at the point of use, the cartridge comprising a tab holding feature for holding one or more tabs of the closing device and a tab loading feature for loading tabs onto the delivery device. A method of treating an intervertebral disc includes the steps of loading a closing device into a delivery device at the point of use, the closing device comprising at least two tabs coupled to a connecting element, and substantially approximating a defect in the intervertebral disc using the closing device delivered by the delivery device.
Apparatus and Methods for Loading a Closing Device
A method and apparatus are disclosed for loading a closing device onto a delivery device at the point of use. The apparatus may include a cartridge comprising an anchor holding feature for holding one or more anchors of the closing device; and an anchor loading feature for loading the one or more anchors onto the delivery device. The anchors may include tabs such as suture tabs. Embodiments of methods of loading the closing device onto a delivery device at the point of use are also disclosed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUTURING
Provided is a system, a device, a cassette for use therein and method for suturing two tissue sections, for example two sections of a tissue, by using a plurality of consecutively-arranged anchoring units.
KNOTLESS ENDOSTITCH SUTURE RETAINER
A suture retainer is provided for supplying a surgical needle and an associated length of relatively stiff suture material to a surgical suturing apparatus. The suture retainer generally includes a body portion defining a suture tray and a loading unit positioned on the body portion. The loading unit is provided to retain a surgical needle in a position to be grasped by a surgical suturing apparatus. The suture tray retains the length of relatively stiff suture in a manner which prevents the relatively stiff suture from bending or otherwise being deformed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INCREASED OPERATING ROOM EFFICIENCY
Systems, devices and methods to improve safety and efficiency in an operating room comprise providing a suture package that holds new suture needles and needle receptacles for storing used needles. The devices can be safely worn for the surgeon to self-dispense new suture needles in the near surgical field and to secure the used needles into a needle trap or a needle retainer located on his extremity, on his operative instruments or on the surgical drapes. The device may provide automated and/or simplified needle counting both during use and after removal from the surgical field. The device may be configured for ergonomic and efficient use so as to minimize the actions and motions of the surgeon to dispense and secure the needle.

SUTURE PACKAGING DEVICE
A suture tray having an upper component with a top surface and a bottom surface is disclosed. The tray also includes a plurality of flexible members integrally coupled to the upper component such that the flexible members have a clearance for assisting easy lift-press mechanism and a lower component having an outer peripheral wall and inner peripheral wall. The outer and inner peripheral wall mate with the upper component to form a winding channel. The tray also includes a secondary female locking member integrally coupled to the inner peripheral wall, the secondary female locking member mates with a secondary male locking member integrally formed on the upper component to additionally lock the assembly.
Suture delivery tools for endoscopic and robot-assisted surgery and methods
A suture delivery tool releasably secures a self-retaining suture to permit delivery of the self-retaining suture to a surgical site in a patient through an access port. Suture delivery tools are disclosed suitable for manual operation and operation using robotically-assisted surgical systems. In some embodiments, a suture spool is part of a cartridge which is releasably attached to the suture delivery tool. Cartridges is, in some embodiments, replaced after deployment of the self-retaining suture and different cartridges having different self-retaining suture are, in some embodiments, selected and attached to the suture delivery tool as required for a procedure.
