ENCODED INFORMATION READING TERMINAL CONFIGURED TO PRE-PROCESS IMAGES
An encoded information reading (EIR) terminal can comprise a microprocessor, a memory, and an EIR device including a two-dimensional imager. The EIR device can be configured to output raw message data containing an encoded message and/or outputting a decoded message corresponding to an encoded message. The EIR terminal can be configured, responsive to acquiring an image containing decodable indicia, to pre-process the acquired image and transmit the pre-processed image to an external decoding computer for decoding the decodable indicia.

Gestural control
Gestures may be performed to control a visual projector. When a device or human hand is placed into a projection field of the visual projector, the visual projector responds to gestures. The human hand, for example, may gesture to rotate a projected image or to correct the projected image. The visual projector may thus manipulate and/or correct the projected image in response to the gesture.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING PROJECTION PICTURE, AND PROJECTION DEVICE
A method for adjusting a projection picture includes: receiving a first image, captured by a first imaging module, of a position where the projection picture is located, and a second image, captured by a second imaging module, of surroundings of a projection device; identifying, based on the first image, whether a projection shade is present within a projection range of a projecting module; identifying position information of a projection shade in response to the projection shade being present; identifying, based on the second image, movable directions and movable distances of the projection device; and controlling, based on the position information of the projection shade and the movable directions of the projection device and the movable distances in the movable directions, the position adjusting module to adjust the projection device, such that the projection device escapes from the projection shade and a complete projection picture is acquired.
CALIBRATION OF CAMERA AND PROJECTOR
Described examples include a system including a projector configured to project a test pattern image, the test pattern image having at least two elements; a camera configured to capture the test pattern image; and a controller coupled to the projector and to the camera. The controller is configured to obtain a first calibration matrix between the projector and the camera for the at least two elements; determine at least two epipolar lines based on the first calibration matrix and the test pattern image; determine a cost function based on the at least two epipolar lines and the at least two elements in the test pattern image as captured by the camera; and determine a second calibration matrix responsive to the cost function, wherein at least one of a camera position of the camera or a projector position of the projector is adjusted responsive to the second calibration matrix.

Automatic Alignment of a Contrast Enhancement System
An apparatus and method for insuring the proper alignment of a detected vein pattern and a projected vein pattern are disclosed. The apparatus enhances the visual appearance of veins so that an error that can lead to improper patient care or injury can be avoided.
PROJECTION DEVICE
Embodiments of the present disclosure, relating to the technical field of projection, provides a projection device. The projection device includes: an imaging module, configured to project images; a position adjustment module, connected to the projection module, and configured to adjust a position of the projection module; a controller, connected to the projection module and the position adjustment module, and configured to control the projection module to project images, and control the position adjustment module to adjust the position of the projection module.
INFORMATION GENERATION METHOD, INFORMATION GENERATION SYSTEM, AND NON- TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An information generation method including identifying a correspondence relationship between a projector coordinate system and a camera coordinate system, the correspondence relationship identified based on a first image and a second image, the first image projected on a projection target from a projector, and the second image obtained by imaging the projection target using a camera in a state in which the first image is projected on the projection target, displaying, by a display device, a taken image of the projection target which is taken by the camera, receiving a first operation which designates a display area in the camera coordinate system, and generating information for making the projector project a projection image in which a projection object is disposed in the display area designated by the first operation based on the correspondence relationship and information which representing the display area designated by the first operation.
Remote Pointing Device
A method, system, and apparatus, including a program encoded on computer-readable medium, for providing remote control of a light beam pointing device. The system includes a camera that captures at least one image at a first location and a light source that generates a light beam in a direction within a viewable area of the camera. At a second location, remote from the first location, a display screen displays images captured by the camera and a controller that controls pointing of the light source toward a desired target object at the first location.
