A user control, such as a television remote control device, allows a user to selectively display tags during a video program. The tags provide information about items that are visible in scenes in the video. The tags can identify the brand name, item name, location where the item can be purchased, additional information about the item, etc. The tags can be turned on or off by a viewer or user during playback. In a particular embodiment, a single button press on a remote control can cause switching from a play mode without tags to a tag mode that shows tags in the video; skipping back in time a short interval; and putting the video in a slow-forward play mode, or other alternate mode of play.

A method of controlling a photographing apparatus including a main processor and an image processor is provided. The method includes transmitting, by the image processor to the main processor, transmission data that includes preview image data of an image photographed through a photographing module and, if image data that is parallel-processed with the preview image data exists, the image data; extracting, by the main processor, the preview image data from the transmission data; displaying the extracted preview image data on a display portion of the photographing apparatus; and if the image data is included in the transmission data, storing, by the main processor, the image data in a memory.

A system for resizing image files includes an FPGA including an interface controller operable to receive a plurality of image files through an interface, a computing kernel controller, and a memory controller. The FPGA also includes an interconnect coupled to the computing kernel controller and the memory controller and a plurality of computing kernels coupled to the interconnect. The system also includes a memory coupled to the FPGA.

A photographing device according to the present invention comprises: an imaging section that captures a subject image and outputs image data; a motion picture recording section that records a motion picture based on the image data; a parameter setting section that sets a photographing parameter to change a photographing state; and a parameter control section that automatically changes the photographing parameter during the recording of the motion picture regardless of the set photographing parameter.

The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
