Generating semantically meaningful video loops in a cinemagraph

A cinemagraph is generated that includes one or more video loops. A cinemagraph generator receives an input video, and semantically segments the frames to identify regions that correspond to semantic objects and the semantic object depicted in each identified region. Input time intervals are then computed for the pixels of the frames of the input video. An input time interval for a particular pixel includes a per-pixel loop period and a per-pixel start time of a loop at the particular pixel. In addition, the input time interval of a pixel is based, in part, on one or more semantic terms which keep pixels associated with the same semantic object in the same video loop. A cinemagraph is then created using the input time intervals computed for the pixels of the frames of the input video.

Disclosed is a master electronic device configured to create a content capture session executable by a plurality of electronic devices comprising at least one client electronic device. The master electronic device may comprise: a user interface module configured to receive at least one session parameter; a processor configured to create at least one content capture session based on the at least one session parameter; and a communication means configured to communicate data between the master electronic device and at least one client electronic device, wherein the communication comprises transmission of at least one session parameter, wherein the at least one client electronic device is configured to participate in the at least one content capture session according to the at least one session parameter.

Mobile device video personalization

The disclosure includes embodiments for generating a synched video. A method includes determining a duration and a number of discrete frames of an original video. The method includes determining a type of replacement video that includes a live source or a recorded source. The method includes tracking a location of an original head in the original video to determine positioning data for the original head in each of the discrete frames. The method includes synching the replacement video to the original video based on a position, a size and a rotation between the original head in the original video and a replacement head in the replacement video, wherein the synching generates a synched video which synchs the replacement head to the original head based on the position, the size and the rotation.

The vehicle includes multiple cameras coupled to one or more video processors. The one or more video processors are configured to capture a first video of an interior view of the vehicle for a period of time, capture a second video of an exterior view of surroundings of the vehicle for the period of time, and synchronize the first video and the second video. The vehicle includes one or more microphones coupled to one or more audio processors for capturing audio and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit includes a multimedia processor. The electronic control unit is configured to buffer the synchronized video, detect a triggering event, and store the synchronized video.

Method and apparatus for displaying and recording images using multiple image capturing devices integrated into a single mobile device

A method for capturing images using a mobile device that includes a plurality of integrated image capturing devices having a plurality of different fields of view includes displaying a first image of a first field of view associated with a first one of the plurality of image capturing devices on a first region of a display of the mobile device, and displaying a second image of a second field of view associated with a second one of the plurality of image capturing devices on a second region of the display of the mobile device, wherein the first image and the second image are displayed simultaneously.

USER CONTROL FOR DISPLAYING TAGS ASSOCIATED WITH ITEMS IN A VIDEO PLAYBACK

A video scene is displayed in a either a tag mode or a tagless mode. The video scene depicts a plurality of visually perceptible items. The tag mode displays one or more visually perceptible tags in conjunction with the video scene. Each tag is associated with a visually perceptible item appearing in the video scene. The tags are categorized into a plurality of categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a first one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the first one of the categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a second one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the second one of the categories.

MOVIE ADVERTISING PLAYBACK SYSTEMS AND METHODS

An ad in a movie can be a static ad having a position in the movie that cannot be moved, or a dynamic ad having a position in the movie that can be changed. When a viewer wishes to skip a portion of the movie containing the ad, the playback system determines whether the ad is static or dynamic. If the ad is static, only the portion of the movie preceding the static ad can be skipped; the ad is unskippable. This technique is referred to as “bounceback” since the end of the skip bounces back to the start of the static ad. If the ad is dynamic, it is moved to after the end of the skip. This technique is referred to as “slip-ad” since the ad slips to later in the movie. When a movie has multiple ads, some can be static and some can be dynamic.

Module compressing/encoding plural images for recording, or an image recording apparatus or image recording system including the module. At least two first and second image input module types capture an image of frames from a video signal source, and convert into digital image data for output; an image input arbitration module arbitrates to place digital image data provided by the first type before digital image data provided by the second type. The first type image input module is provided with a real-time image. The apparatus or system further includes: a memory module temporarily storing the real-time image by a processing time for the arbitration module to process digital image data provided by the second type of image input module, an image encoding module compressing and encoding the digital image data, and changing a processing speed to perform a process of compression and encoding more in real time.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECORDING VIEWER REACTION TO VIDEO CONTENT

A system and method for automatically recording viewer reactions to viewed video content. The system and method utilize a system that responds to pre-tagged segments of video content. Upon recognition of such a tagged segment, a video camera is activated to capture the viewer response. A composite video of the captured viewer response and the segment of viewed video is then created. The viewer is notified that the composite video has been created. The system and method also provide the viewer with options to share the video via social media.
