Apparatus and method for suturing
09782162 · 2017-10-10 · ·

The invention generally relates to devices and methods for suturing tissue. The invention provides methods and devices for suturing by pushing two ends of a suture through tissue from a proximal side of the tissue and fastening the two ends together on a distal side of the tissue through one operation of a trigger.

Suturing bead, suturing needle, side suction cap and endoscopic organ suturing implement using same

The present invention relates to a suturing bead, a suturing needle, a side suction cap and to an endoscopic organ suturing implement using same. More specifically, the present invention relates to an endoscopic organ suturing implement comprising a suturing bead which can be naturally rested lying against the organ wall during discharge, a suturing needle by means of which it is possible to control discharge of the suturing bead, and a side suction cap constituted in such a way as to be able to prevent damage to other organs during surgery.

Surgical Suture System, Tissue Restraints, and Tissue Anchors

A surgical suture system, tissue restraint/suture capture and tissue anchor for tissue repair and reattachment of torn tissue to a tissue substrate, medical, veterinary or dental prosthesis or medical implant. The system includes a plurality of tissue restraints/suture captures which each include a central locking aperture sized and configured to receive a beaded suture member passed therethrough which minimizes longitudinal tensioning and/or restraining movement, the “GO” force, of a beaded suture member in the forwardly direction through the locking apertures for suture tightening and which maximizes “NO-GO” force to pull the suture in the reverse direction. Uniquely configured tissue anchors and other medically implantable devices securely receive one of the tissue restraints/suture captures for tensioning of a suture member between tissue and the tissue anchor.

SURGICAL SUTURE

A surgical suture is provided, which includes a hollow cone and a thread. The cone has a front opening and a rear opening at two opposite ends thereof, wherein a diameter of the front opening is smaller than a diameter of the rear opening. The thread passes through the cone, and integrally includes at least two protrusions thereon, which are separated from each other by a certain distance. Each of the protrusions has a width in a radial direction of the thread, wherein the width is greater than a diameter of the thread, and is smaller than the diameter of the rear opening whereby, with the integrally provided protrusions, the cones can be located on the corresponding positions of the thread.

SLEEVE FOR SOFT TISSUE REPAIR
20170281327 · 2017-10-05 ·

A sleeve for soft tissue repair includes a cylindrical tube formed of at least one biocompatible material, and a suture tethered to one end of the cylindrical tube. The cylindrical tube is configured to be fitted over a soft tissue. The cylindrical tube is configured to reversibly and repeatedly deform from a relaxed state to a stretched state in which the cylindrical tube contracts in a radial direction and expands in a longitudinal direction to secure the soft tissue within the cylindrical tube.

Adhesive barbed filament

The present disclosure provides filaments and/or surgical sutures which include an inner core, an outer sheath and a plurality of barbs on a surface thereof. The filaments and/or surgical sutures further include at least one adhesive precursor material which transitions from a non-adherent material to an adhesive material to attach a portion of the filament and/or suture to the surrounding area, such as tissue and/or other portions of the filament.

Anchored suture line, device and method for surgical suturing

Anchored suture line (ASL), comprising a suture thread upon which is located a plurality of anchor structures permanently attached to said suture thread at predetermined intervals, may be advantageously employed for surgical suturing procedures. An ASL suturing device may be employed to sequentially implant the anchors, still tethered to the suture line. As they are implanted, the anchors expand thereby becoming secured in the tissue. The process may be repeated without cutting the suture line until the wound is sealed.

SURGICAL SUTURE FOR LAPAROSCOPIC PORT SITE CLOSURE DEVICE
20170245852 · 2017-08-31 ·

A surgical suture is caught in a needle tip that is pierced through a body tissue; and when the needle is withdrawn, the surgical suture is pulled out along a path through which the needle was pierced into the tissue, and the surgical suture is tied outside a patient's body. The surgical suture for the laparoscopic port site closure device, wherein the laparoscopic port site closure device is in a tube shape for being introduced into a port site, includes: a tubular body provided with needle guides that face each other and guide insertion of a needle; wings mounted to a lower portion of the tubular body such that the wings are opened and closed through a cam method; and an operating stick penetrating through the tubular body to operate the wings to be opened and to be closed.

Apparatus for inserting medical tube and surgical procedure kit for inserting medical tube, having same

A surgical procedure kit for inserting a medical tube according to the present invention includes: an insertion pathway formation means configured to include a medical tube provided with a hollow tube main body, a tube member including a hollow conduit having the medical tube received therein and forming a pathway into which the medical tube is to be inserted, and a support member including a support rod which is inserted into the medical tube and has stiffness greater than that of the tube member; and a push means configured to be slidable within the conduit of the tube member and push the medical tube through the conduit of the tube member.

Steerable lesion excluding heart implants for congestive heart failure

Devices, systems, and methods for treating a heart of a patient may make use of one or more implant structures which limit a size of a chamber of the heart, such as by deploying a tensile member to bring a wall of the heart toward (optionally into contact with) a septum of the heart.
