Tying audio and video watermarks of live and recorded events for simulcasting alternative content to an audio channel or second screen
An alternative content system receives a primary content data stream and a secondary content data stream associated with an event. The alternative content system provides an alternative content data stream associated with the event. The alternative content system extracts a primary content identifier from the primary content data stream. The alternative content system identifies an alternative content identifier based on the alternative content data stream. The alternative content system synchronizes the alternative content data stream to the primary content data stream based on the alternative content identifier and the primary content identifier. The alternative content system transmits the synchronized alternative content data stream based on the primary content identifier.
Method and system for providing social media content synchronized to media presentation
A computer system provides a method for delivering a video stream to a viewer and delivering, in synchrony with the video stream, social media content created during the current and previous viewings of the video stream by first-time viewers of the video stream.
Metrics-based timeline of previews
Systems and methods are herein disclosed for displaying a smart preview of video content. A first claimed embodiment includes receiving video content. A system can then detect an event taking place during the video content having an event time. The system can then receive a request to display a preview of the video content. The system can then display the preview of the video content beginning at the event time.
Transport stream packets with time stamp generation by medium access control
Provided is a method of transmitting transport stream packets from a terminal connected to a network including generating a time stamp with reference to time information managed in synchronization with other terminals by a medium access control (MAC) layer in order to control medium use in the network; processing the transport stream packets by using the time stamp; and transmitting the processed transport stream packets.
DTS/PTS backward extrapolation for stream transition events
In one method embodiment, receiving a video stream comprising a first compressed picture without associated time stamp information and a second compressed picture having associated first time stamp information, the second compressed picture following the first compressed picture in transmission order; deriving second time stamp information based on the first time stamp information; and processing the first compressed picture based on the second time stamp information.
Synchronization of processing media streams by one or more media processing devices
Methods, media processing devices and cache nodes for enabling instant synchronization of processing of data units of a primary media stream and of one or more secondary streams by at least one media processing device are described. The method may comprise the steps of: selecting a primary media stream that is broadcasted by a broadcast source, said primary media stream being associated with at least one secondary stream; receiving data units of said primary media stream and data units of said at least one secondary media streams; providing cache timing information associated with a time delay between the availability by said at least one media processing device to data units of said primary stream and to corresponding data units of said secondary stream; and, requesting one or more cache data units from at least one cache server on the basis of said cache timing information, wherein at least part of said cache data units correspond to data units of said primary media stream that, at the time the primary media stream was selected by said media processing device, were already broadcasted by said broadcast source.
Systems and methods for multiple device interaction with selectably presentable media streams
A system for multiple device interaction with selectably presentable multimedia content includes an output engine, an input engine, a manager, and a memory that stores selectably presentable multimedia content segments. Each content segment represents a predefined portion of one or more content paths. The output engine, executing on a first device, receives a subset of the content segments, assembles them into a seamless multimedia presentation that is one of the content paths, and plays the assembled multimedia presentation. The input engine, executing on a second device, receives user interactions associated with the multimedia presentation, and the manager coordinates the multimedia presentation among multiple devices based on the user interactions. A method implementing the above steps is also included.
Systems and methods for streaming media content
Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating streaming of media content. Video content is retrieved over a network from one or more client devices capturing video content. Data items associated with the plurality of video content are also retrieved. A list order for the plurality of video content is determined according to at least a portion of the retrieved data items, and a user interface is encoded for display where the user interface contains a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of video content, the items being positioned within the user interface according to the list order.
Synchronizing broadcast timeline metadata
There are instances of a content item having synchronization information, one being an instance of a reference content item, another being a candidate content item. A synchronizing processor determines a synchronization point between the reference content item and the candidate content item, on the basis of matching the synchronization information of the reference content item and the candidate content item. A timeline metadata transmitter transmits stored timeline metadata to a device on which the reference content item is playing, the transmission of the stored timeline metadata beginning from the synchronization point. The stored timeline metadata includes timeline metadata that has been previously aggregated from earlier broadcasts of instances of the reference content item. Related systems, apparatus, and methods are also described.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that enables advantages of a virtual world to be obtained without impairing the sense of reality.
For at least one viewer from among a plurality of viewers viewing content distributed from a distributor virtually disposed at a predetermined distribution position, a viewing position where the at least one viewer views the content as an experiencing person and the distribution position are set such that a relative positional relationship between the viewing position and the distribution position is a positional relationship determined for the experiencing person in a virtual space or an actual space.
