Detection And Redirection Of Video Playback
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for detecting, analyzing, and redirecting data are described herein. A wireless gateway may detect data associated with at least one characteristic that is being received by a first computing device via a first network. The wireless gateway may send, to the first computing device, a message comprising a selectable option to render the received data on a display device associated with a second computing device. If the option was selected, the wireless gateway may send, to a server via a second network, a request message comprising a request for information associated with the received data. The wireless gateway may receive, from the server via the second network, the requested information and then send, to the second computing device in response to receiving the requested information, the received data to be rendered by the display device.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DISCOVERY OF A PROCESSING OFFLOADER
Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SUPPLEMENTING SET-TOP BOX PROCESSING WITH ADDITIONAL PROCESSOR RESOURCES
Disclosed are methods for supplementing the processing capabilities of multimedia devices in a networked environment. A method can include providing a processing offloader module to physically connect to a first multimedia device in the networked environment. The offloader can be internal and/or external to the device. The method can include identifying the offloader, identifying a second multimedia device, and determining that a bandwidth of the second device falls below a threshold bandwidth. Instructions can be forwarded from the second device to the offloader when the bandwidth of the second device exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The offloader is configured to process the instructions and render multimedia information based on the instructions. A first communication can be transmitted to the second multimedia device indicating a request to enable a proxy configured to output received rendered multimedia information and the rendered multimedia information can be forwarded from the offloader to the second device.
System and method for switching video presentations between devices
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system receives a signal transmitted from a first media presentation device presenting media content; the signal includes a request to discontinue providing the media content to the first media presentation device and begin providing the media content to a second media presentation device. The method also includes transmitting a link to a destination associated with the second device, and transmitting a portion of the media content to the second device; this portion corresponds to a predetermined time period commencing with transmission of the signal. In response to selection of the link, the media content portion is presented at the second device, and the media content is provided to the second device corresponding to a time period commencing with expiration of the predetermined time period. Other embodiments are disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATION AND LOGIN PORTABILITY FOR MULTISCREEN DISCOVERY AND LAUNCH OF FIRST SCREEN CONTENT
A device including a communication component, a DIAL protocol component, a video processing component and a PIC verification component. The communication component can wirelessly receive a personal identification code, can communicate with a display and can receive first video content from a content provider. The DIAL protocol component can perform protocols in accordance with a multiscreen discovery and launch of first screen content specification. The video processing component can provide first video data including PIC image data corresponding to a code so as to display the first video data and a PIC image on the display. The PIC verification component can generate a verification signal when the personal identification code corresponds to the PIC image data. The video processing component can further provide the first video content to the display based on the verification signal.
Playing method and playing system
The present application provides a playing method and a playing system. The playing method includes: playing display contents by a first display device; upon receipt of a storage instruction, recording playing position information and sending matching information to a second display device by the first display device; searching, by the second display device, for the first display device that sends the matching information upon receipt of a resuming instruction; pairing the first display device with the second display device; transmitting, by the first display device, the playing position information to the second display device; and resuming, by the second display device, playing the display contents according to the playing position information.
LOCATION-TRACKED MEDIA DELIVERY ACROSS MULTIPLE MEDIA CONSUMPTION DEVICES
Novel techniques are described for location-tracked media delivery. For example, a particular consumer premises has multiple media consumption devices, each located in a different room of the premises. One or more media streams being consumed via one or more of the media consumption devices can be tracked. As one or more consumers move through the premises, their respective physical locations in the premises can also be tracked with respect to media consumption regions of the media consumption devices. By detecting movement of the consumers with respect to the consumed streams and the media consumption devices, embodiments can automatically provide various features. For example, streams can automatically be transferred or cloned among the media consumption devices, and/or streams and devices can be adapted automatically to facilitate some continued media consumption in some dead space regions.
Eyes free entertainment
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for converting audio-video content into audio-only content. Audio-video content is readily accessible, but for various reasons users often cannot consume content visually. In those circumstances, for example, when a user is interrupted during a movie to drive to pick up a spouse or child, the user may not want to forego consuming the audio-video content. The audio-video content can be converted into audio only content for the user to aurally consume, allowing the user to consume the content despite interruptions or other reasons for which the audio-video content cannot be consumed visually.
Dynamic cloud content distribution
Digital content such as eBooks, music, video, personal files, and so forth stored in cloud storage resources are selectively transferred to an onboard storage device of a conveyance such as an aircraft, train, motorcoach, and so forth. Travelers may access the content from the onboard storage as if the cloud were still accessible.
