[Object] To transmit information more flexibly and more reliably while allowing for user freedom. [Solution] There is provided an information processor including an output control section that controls an output of presentation information that is performed by a plurality of output terminals. The output control section determines, on the basis of a moving path of a user, an allocation of the presentation information that is caused to be outputted by corresponding one of the plurality of output terminals. In addition, there is provided an information processing method that includes controlling, by a processor, an output of presentation information performed by a plurality of output terminals, and the controlling further includes determining an allocation of the presentation information that is caused to be outputted by corresponding one of the plurality of output terminals on the basis of a moving path of a user.

Location-tracked media delivery across multiple media consumption devices
11743532 · 2023-08-29 · ·

Novel techniques are described for location-tracked media delivery. For example, a particular consumer premises has multiple media consumption devices, each located in a different room of the premises. One or more media streams being consumed via one or more of the media consumption devices can be tracked. As one or more consumers move through the premises, their respective physical locations in the premises can also be tracked with respect to media consumption regions of the media consumption devices. By detecting movement of the consumers with respect to the consumed streams and the media consumption devices, embodiments can automatically provide various features. For example, streams can automatically be transferred or cloned among the media consumption devices, and/or streams and devices can be adapted automatically to facilitate some continued media consumption in some dead space regions.

Methods and systems for management of a processing offloader

Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

Seamless content transition between proximate user devices

Described herein are techniques for seamlessly transitioning streaming content between user devices. In some embodiments, such techniques may be performed by a content transition platform. The techniques may comprise receiving a transition request including a set of identifiers for a plurality of user devices that includes at least a first user device from which the transition request originated. The techniques may further comprise identifying one or more active communication sessions associated with the plurality of user devices, each of which comprise a series of communications between one of the plurality of user devices and a content provider. The techniques may further comprise determining, based on the one or more active communication sessions, a second user device of the plurality of user devices, and transitioning an active communication session of the one or more active communication sessions between the first user device and the second user device.

RESUMING PLAYBACK ON MULTIPLE STREAMING DEVICES
20230308707 · 2023-09-28 ·

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for transferring streaming media playback between streaming media devices. In an example embodiment, a user may be streaming content using a first media device. The user may then send a command to the first media device to transfer the streaming content to a second media device. The first media device may identify the second media device as being on a common network and transmit a wake command to the second media device as well as media playback state information indicating a playback position to resume playback. In some embodiments, the first media device may download the media playback state information onto a mobile device. The mobile device may then provide the media playback state information to the second media device to resume playback at the first media device's playback position.

Synchronizing content progress

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for managing and synchronizing viewing progress of a content item by multiple users. In one implementation, a user returning to a joint viewing session may be presented with options for catching up to other users in the joint viewing session, or otherwise see what the returning user previously missed.

AGENT COOPERATION DEVICE, OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

An agent cooperation device includes: a sound output section that controls sound output in accordance with instructions from plural agents that are configured to receive an instruction regarding a predetermined service by voice dialogue; and a control section that, in a case in which a voice dialogue is provided with respect to one of the plural agents while another agent is playing music or an audiobook as a service, controls the sound output section so as to lower a volume of or stop playback that is being carried out by the other agent.

Roaming video session with radio frequency remote control

A roaming video experience, in which users continue watching a content item when moving from viewing device to viewing device is enabled herein via Radio Frequency (RF) enabled remote controls and set top boxes. A device identifier from a first RF-enabled set top box is communicated to an active RF-enabled remote control. When a user signals a second RF-enabled set top box, the viewing session parameter set associated with the active RF-enabled remote control is passed to the second RF-enabled set top box. Using the parameter set, the second set top box is enabled to learn the system settings, user preferences, and content item that were used on the first set top box, and provide a continued viewing experience—the roaming video experience—for the user on an associated viewing device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECONCILING PLAYBACK USING PROGRESS POINT INFORMATION
20230283852 · 2023-09-07 ·

The systems and methods are described herein for playback of content based on progress point information. The systems and methods detect nearby media devices to transmit or request progress point information. Based on the communicated progress point information, the system may generate an option to play back content at a point within the content up to which content was last consumed. When content providers offer different versions of one content item and the user does not select to play back content from the content provider associated with the progress point information, the system determines a proper playback point in other content providers.
