Providing Supplemental Content For A Second Screen Experience
Computing devices, computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions, methods, and systems for discovering, organizing, and presenting supplemental content are disclosed. A discovery system may be used to discover an item, such as a supplemental content presentation application, which, when launched may present supplemental content to a user while the user is consuming primary content. The supplemental content presentation application may also present a timeline that users may interact with to view different portions of the supplemental content. The timeline may also be modified by adding markers along the timeline so that when a marker is selected, a particular piece of supplemental content is presented.
ADAPTIVE CONTENT COMPOSITE INTERACTION AND CONTROL INTERFACE
System, methods, and machine-readable media to facilitate adaptive content composite interaction with respect to digitally distributed content are disclosed. Discovery may be performed, and events specified for digital distribution may be detected. A particular endpoint identifier mapped to media devices may be detected. Events may be determined as a function of access specifications. Content objects corresponding to the events may be received from a remote system via a network. Content composites corresponding to mapping specifications may be created for each content object with selecting and configuring an adaptable content object with the content object to form a content composite to facilitate presentation of the content composite. The content composites may be used to facilitate an augmentation interface with a graphical layout of the content composites, each causing display of an interface element allowing selective communications to a process-performing system to configure an executable function in accordance with parameters.
PULL NOTIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATIONS
In some embodiments, a method selects an account associated with an application that is displaying content. A plurality of contact options is retrieved where the contact options in the plurality of contact options are able to receive pull notifications for the account. The method ranks the plurality of contact options based on information associated with the account and generates a plurality of pull notification options using the ranking of the plurality of contact options. The plurality of pull notification options is output to the application for display on the application. A pull notification option in the plurality of pull notification options is associated with information to cause an associated contact option to be contacted upon selection of the pull notification option.
Media playback synchronization on multiple systems
A system includes a primary playback system and a secondary playback system. The primary playback system plays back selected content. The secondary playback system monitors progress of the primary playback system playing back the content. Based on detected progress, the secondary playback system synchronizes playback of supplemental media (such as descriptive audio, closed caption text, etc.) associated with the content on a secondary playback system operated by a user. In response to detecting a scheduled advertisement window during playback of the content on the primary playback system, the secondary playback system discontinues playback of the supplemental media associated with the content on the secondary playback system. During or after playback of the advertisement on the primary playback system, the secondary playback system monitors playback of the selected content by the primary playback system to re-synchronize playback of supplemental media to the playback of the content on the secondary playback system.
Synchronization of processing media streams by one or more media processing devices
Methods, media processing devices and cache nodes for enabling instant synchronization of processing of data units of a primary media stream and of one or more secondary streams by at least one media processing device are described. The method may comprise the steps of: selecting a primary media stream that is broadcasted by a broadcast source, said primary media stream being associated with at least one secondary stream; receiving data units of said primary media stream and data units of said at least one secondary media streams; providing cache timing information associated with a time delay between the availability by said at least one media processing device to data units of said primary stream and to corresponding data units of said secondary stream; and, requesting one or more cache data units from at least one cache server on the basis of said cache timing information, wherein at least part of said cache data units correspond to data units of said primary media stream that, at the time the primary media stream was selected by said media processing device, were already broadcasted by said broadcast source.
Systems and Methods for Broadcasting Data Contents Related to Media Contents Using a Media Device
There is provided a system including a display, a wireless communication element, a non-transitory memory storing an executable code, and a hardware processor executing the executable code to receive an input signal including a media content and a data content associated with the media content, extract the data content from the input signal, display the media content on the display, and transmit the data content of the input signal to a user device using the wireless communication element.

Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for providing co-deliver of primary and secondary content, including, video and video chat content. A first electronic device includes a transceiver that receives the secondary content from a second electronic device. The first electronic device also includes components capable of outputting aspects of the primary and secondary content in a synchronized fashion. Further, the first electronic device includes circuitry coupled to the transceiver and components, and the circuitry executes instructions in order to perform functions. One such function is to synchronize local primary content to be output by the components, with delivered primary content to be provided by the second electronic device. Another such function is to signal the components to output aspects of the local primary or the secondary content.

Method and apparatus for generation of interactive programming. An interactive programming server embeds interactive components into a video signal. The interactive programming server receives content from a content source and interactive components from an interactive component source and uses the content and interactive components to generate an interactive Video On Demand (iVOD) interactive program. The iVOD interactive program is transmitted to a participant who views the content and interacts with the interactive components of the iVOD interactive program. The participant's responses to the content is transmitted back to the interactive programming server where the participant responses are incorporated into new content which is used to generate new iVOD interactive programming.
Cloud server, control equipment and method for audio and video synchronization
A method in control equipment for synchronizing audio and video acquires an identifier of playback equipment. Information as to audio and video formats for the playback equipment is acquired playback and a first time delay data corresponding to the audio data and video data from the cloud server is set according to the identifier, the audio format information and the video format information. A first delay time between the audio data and video data according to the first time delay data acquired from the cloud server is set for the implementation of audio and video synchronization.
