The method includes the acts of: transmitting to the media players configuration data including data; transmitting data corresponding to the media content to at least one of the media players; transmitting to the media players data corresponding to a multicast address and to an entry port; selecting by the server a master media player among the at least one media player which received the data corresponding to the media content; sending by the master media player a multicast media stream using the multicast address and the entry port, the multicast media stream being obtained by the master media player from the data corresponding to the media content.

A system and method for presenting video asset information to a viewer to assist the view in selecting a video asset for viewing is described. The view can select one of the video assets for viewing, but also can navigate using metadata categories such as genre, actors, director etc. Moreover, the system and method includes an on-screen remote control that can be utilized in conjunction with a physical input device for navigation and viewing one or more video assets. This allows a much easier and natural navigating and selection process for viewers.

The method further includes sending a digital video recording (DVR) request to a network digital video recording (NDVR) system to record the video broadcast. The method further includes obtaining a video recording of the video broadcast generated by the NDVR system. The method further includes generating a VOD package of the video broadcast, the VOD package including the video recording, and VOD metadata of the video recording. The method further includes sending the VOD package of the video broadcast toward a VOD system to distribute the VOD package.

Systems and methods are provided for relocating an overlay overlapping information in content. The systems and methods may comprise receiving a content item, the content item comprising a video image, and determining a first screen position of an information box (e.g., a score box) in the video image. Determining may be performed with image analysis and/or a machine learning model. The system receives an overlay image (e.g., a channel logo) with a second screen position and determines if the second screen position (e.g., for the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., for the score). In response to determining the second screen position (e.g., of the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., the score), the system modifies the second screen position (e.g., for the logo). Then the system generates for display the overlay image on the video in the modified screen position. The system may not relocate the overlay if the overlay is a high priority.

A display of a progress bar including segments for the events in the previously accessed content is provided in the screen view of current media being accessed. The progress bar segments may be selected to access the content. Upon conclusion of the content, an image and text about the content may be supplied to the viewer to post on social media about the content.
