A method is disclosed for providing secure access to multimedia content to a user of a content service at a first user device configured to enable the user to consume the multimedia content. The method comprises: providing, from a second user device, a user identifier to a service provider of the content service, the second user device being provided with a subscriber identity module enabling the second user device to connect to a cellular communication network, the user identifier comprising an identifier of the subscriber identity module; at the second user device, receiving an access key from the service provider, through the cellular communication network, the access key being associated with the user identifier; providing the access key from the second user device to the first user device through a short-range connection, and at the first user device, using the access key to access the multimedia content.

A system includes a user interface for allowing a user to select a data stream to be played, a receiver for receiving the data stream to be played and a transmitter for transmitting the received data stream to a device that is capable of playing the stream. The system includes a first and a second device, which are separate from one another. The first device, called a receiving device, integrates the receiver and the transmitter. In one embodiment of the television, the television includes a processor, a memory, a tuner, a panel, and an audio driver therein in an interconnected architecture. The television may establish a pairing with a proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device, such as a proximate wireless-enabled interactive handheld device having a touch screen display, whereby formatted parallel audiovisual experience instructions, including virtual buttons, may be transmitted to the proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device for display on the touch screen display to create an experience parallel to the experience on the television. The television receives and processes virtual remote control functionality input instructions from the proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device to control amenities associated with the television.

According to an embodiment, a source device for providing a screen sharing service with a sync device may include a display, a communication circuit configured to perform communication with the sync device, and a processor configured to receive a connection request for the screen sharing service from the sink device through the communication circuit, execute a home application for providing a home screen of the sink device according to the received connection request, display an execution screen of the home application on the display according to execution of the home application, and transmit image data corresponding to the displayed execution screen of the home application to the sink device through the communication circuit.

An up-to-date party size in a monitored space may be determined based on frequency response data by a wireless access point located close to the space. An up-to-date engagement level may also be determined with respect to each individual in the space based on frequency response data by the wireless access point. An advertisement database may be filtered for a qualifying advertisement based on the identified party size and engagement levels.

The present disclosure relates to an image display apparatus, a server, and an image display system including the same. The image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a display; an external device interface unit having at least one communication module and performing short-range communication; and a controller, wherein the controller receives a data packet from an external audio device through the external device interface unit, and determines a time point at which image is output through the display, based on a delay value included in the data packet, when the data packet includes the delay value for a delay of audio output.

The method comprises receiving an access right on a first terminal through a first communication channel; storing said access right in said first terminal; sending a request for said conditional access content to a content provider, said request containing at least an identifier of an account to which said first terminal is associated, an identifier of the requested content and a piece of information concerning said access right; verifying, by said content provider, the authenticity of said access right using said piece of information concerning the access right; and when there has been a successful verification, marking said access right as used, and sending said conditional access content to at least one terminal linked to said account.
