A plurality of heterogenous speakers playing audio in multiple zones that form a first zone using a first subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers and form a second zone using a second subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers. Further, determine a first audio configuration of the first zone and determine a second audio configuration of the second zone. Receive audio from a source device in a first format and play the audio in the first zone using the first subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers. If determined, that the first format is not compatible with the second audio configuration, downmix the audio based on the second audio configuration to form a downmixed audio signal, and play the downmixed audio signal in the second zone using the second subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers.

A wireless device may receive from a source device an instruction to present program content. The wireless device may determine device types missing from an entertainment system based on supporting playback of the program content. A device type missing from the entertainment system may be registered. An instruction may be transmitted to an active source device to increment or decrement a counter. The counter may represent a total number of zones that receives data from the active source device.

VOICE OPERATED CONTROL DEVICE

A control device may transmit electrical signals to a wireless hub to control of a display device, in a first zone, registered to the wireless hub. The control device may receive, from the wireless hub based on a user initiated source change, a control signal to assign buttons for control of the display device. The control device may transmit to the wireless hub a first signal, based on a voice command, to control content and a second signal, based on a gesture command, for a source change on the display device.

A wireless device may communicate, using short range communication in a low power mode, a poll to a sink device for display. The wireless device may communicate content to display on the sink device using a WiFi network and to communicate, by utilization of the WiFi network, a notification of an incoming call. Caller identification associated with the incoming call may be displayed on a display of the wireless device and a sink device.

Voice operated remote control

A remote control device may transmit electrical signals to a wireless hub to cause control of a display device in a first zone having first devices registered to the wireless hub. The remote control may receive, from the wireless hub based on a user initiated source change, a control signal to assign buttons for control of the display device. The remote control may transmit to the wireless hub a first signal responsive to a voice command detected by the sound detection device to cause control of content and a second signal responsive to a gesture command detected by a motion sensing device to cause a source change on the display device and to cause control of another display device in a second zone having second device.

Audio or visual output (A/V) devices registering with a wireless hub system

A wireless hub device may receive wireless signals associated with a plurality of audio or visual output (A/V) devices for registering with a wireless hub system, wherein the plurality of A/V devices are configured into a plurality of zones. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to a plurality of A/V devices in one of the zones so that the plurality of A/V devices are calibrated within the zone. The plurality of A/V devices are calibrated to adjust a specific role of each speaker within an audio system.

Caller identification associated with the incoming call may be displayed on a display of the wireless device and a sink device.

Communicating content and call information over WiFi

A computing device may send using bluetooth a signal to find another computing device having a display device. The computing device and the another computing device may be registered to a same user and proximate to each other. Content is communicated to display on the display device using a WiFi network. The Wi-Fi network may also be utilized to communicate a notification of an incoming call.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENT THEREOF

A method for providing a content of a display apparatus is provided. The method for providing a content of a display apparatus includes sensing a user, performing a communication connection with the remote control device based on a content reproduction command being input to a remote control device after the user is sensed, receiving information on a content provided by an external display apparatus from the remote control device, and providing the content provided by the external display apparatus based on the information on the content.

Multimedia network data processing system

The present disclosure relates to a multimedia network data processing system, comprising: a head-end switch, which transmits multimedia network data of the data that is sent from a server to a terminal device to a head-end network processor, wherein the multimedia network data is multimedia network data based on the TCP/HTTP protocol; a head-end network processor, which encapsulates the multimedia network data to form a UDP packet and sends the UDP packet to a unidirectional broadcasting optical fiber network; and a data processing module, which receives the UDP packet from the unidirectional broadcasting optical fiber network and decapsulates the UDP packet to obtain the multimedia network data based on the TCP/HTTP protocol for the terminal device to play. A video-on-demand service based on the TCP/HTTP protocol can be realized on the basis of the existing network systems in which the unidirectional channel and the bidirectional channel are separated. And the programs transmitted by radios and TVs can be enriched while the requirements for bandwidth of uplink transmission and bandwidth of downlink transmission can be satisfied.
