Device with dynamic transcode throttling
Dynamic transcode throttling methods and devices for processing resource management and thermal mitigation in electronic devices such as eyewear devices. An electronic device monitors its temperature and, responsive to the temperature, configures a transcoding service to operate at different rates. A frame delay module is configured to add a delay between read frames prior to the transcoding service. This enables the electronic device to consume less power when temperatures are too high in order to provide thermal mitigation and can be performed without powering down the electronic device.
Picture Loading Method and Related Apparatus
A picture loading method includes an electronic device that obtains a first picture file. The first picture file includes a format field and a data field. The format field indicates a source format of the first picture file, and the data field includes pixel data of the first picture file. The electronic device determines, based on the source format of the first picture file, a rendering operation corresponding to the first picture file and renders the first picture file on a display.
Method, system and computer program product for distributed video editing
A network editor comprises a central location with stored videos such as movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of a video and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the video directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited video.
System to monitor and manage integrated receiver decoders
An integrated network receiver includes a first universal resource identifier for a first channel and an input suitable for receiving a first input video content from the Internet based upon the first universal resource identifier. The integrated network receiver provides the first input video content for the first channel to a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network. The integrated network receiver updating the first universal resource identifier based upon data obtained from a video address server.
Standard dynamic range (SDR) / hybrid log-gamma (HLG) with high dynamic range (HDR) 10+
A computer-implemented method includes accessing a high dynamic range (HDR) media content item. Statistical analysis is performed to determine statistical information associated with the HDR media content item at each incremental portion of the HDR media content item. Metadata for each incremental portion of the HDR media content item is generated. A standard dynamic range (SDR) version of the content is derived using the HDR metadata. The metadata and an SDR version of the HDR media content item is transmitted to a storage service. The metadata and the SDR version are caused to be received at a display device. The SDR version is converted to HDR with a dynamic range bounded based on the metadata.
WEB-END VIDEO PLAYING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER DEVICE
This application discloses a Web-end video playback method and apparatus, and a computer device. The method includes: obtaining to-be-played FLV-format video data; decapsulating the FLV-format video data by using a preset WebAssembly bytecode to obtain effective video data, and storing the effective video data into a preset doubly linked list; encapsulating the effective video data in the doubly linked list using the WebAssembly bytecode to obtain FMP4-format video data; and loading, through media source extensions, the FMP4-format video data to a Web-end video player for playback. This application further provides a computer-readable storage medium. In this application, different video data is decapsulated and encapsulated using the WebAssembly bytecode, and then new-format video data is loaded through media source extensions. This reduces occupation of processing resources in a Web-end video data processing process and improves processing efficiency.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING VIDEO IMAGE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for displaying a video image, an electronic device and a storage medium. The solution is as follows: receiving, by a server, a UDP request sent by a client based on an IP address of the server, wherein the UDP request includes identification information of a video to be played; acquiring the video to be played according to the identification information of the video to be played; encapsulating the video to be played from a key frame of the video to obtain a UDP packet; and sending the UDP packet to the client at a first transmission rate, so that the client, after receiving the UDP packet, decapsulates the UDP packet to obtain the video to be played, and display a first image frame of the video to be played, wherein the first transmission rate is the maximum transmission rate determined according to a network bandwidth. According to technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, the time required from initiating the request to displaying the first image frame of the video is reduced, and a display speed of the first image frame of the video is improved.
Methods and apparatus for an embedded appliance
In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a media module and a modification module included in an embedded appliance. The media module is configured to receive a first media signal associated with a first input port of the embedded appliance and a second media signal associated with a second input port of the embedded appliance. The media module is configured to identify a first set of media signal parameters based on the first media signal. The modification module is configured to receive a modification instruction associated with a session format having a second set of media signal parameters different from the first set of media signal parameters. The modification module is configured to modify the first media signal based on the first set of media signal parameters and the modification instruction to produce a first modified media signal in the session format and having the second set of media signal parameters.
5G with ATSC 3.0 network extender
Embodiments are directed towards providing extended Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 compliant content. An ATSC 3.0 extension device receives ATSC 3.0 compliant content and other data via a broadband communication. The ATSC 3.0 extension device broadcasts the ATSC 3.0 compliant content via ATSC 3.0 data signals and broadcasts the other data via 5G data signals. A user device receives the ATSC 3.0 compliant content via the ATSC 3.0 data signals and receives the other data via the 5G data signals. The user device combines and outputs the ATSC 3.0 compliant content with the other data for presentation to a user.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND APPARATUS FOR MULTIMEDIA CONTENT DELIVERY TO CABLE TV AND SATELLITE OPERATORS
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for delivering multimedia content from the cloud to cable operators are disclosed. A device located at the cable headend or implemented in the cloud can receive a request for at least one media stream for playback on a broadcast media channel. Content corresponding to a plurality of multimedia files in the media stream can be obtained from the internet or a cloud based service. The content can be used to generate the multimedia files in a format that is compatible with the cable operator. The multimedia files can be used to assemble the at least one media stream which can be provided to the cable operator for broadcast on the broadcast media channel.
