DATA PROCESSING FOR IMMERSIVE MEDIA
In a data processing method for immersive media, metadata of the immersive media is obtained. The metadata includes (i) zoom region information of a zoom region of the immersive media, and (ii) zoom mode information that indicates whether a target zoom mode is enabled for the zoom region. The zoom mode information indicates zoom parameters of the target zoom mode for the zoom region when the target zoom mode is enabled. Zoom processing is performed on the zoom region of the immersive media according to the zoom mode information included in the metadata when the zoom mode information indicates that the target zoom mode is enabled for the zoom region. Apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium counterpart embodiments are also contemplated.
Providing restricted overlay content to an authorized client device
A processing device for generating a viewing data report is disclosed. The processing device may include a memory device and a processor. The memory device may store instructions. The processor may be operatively coupled to the memory device. The processor may execute the instructions to: determine first viewing data associated with a first ACR event; determine second viewing data associated with a second ACR event; determine that a data field of a plurality of data fields in the first viewing data is incomplete; derive new data for the data field using other data fields of the first viewing data; aggregate the first viewing data and the second viewing data into a single data model to obtain aggregated viewing data of viewing behavior of a first viewer and a second viewer; and create a viewing data report as a compilation of the aggregated viewing data.
Obfuscating Location Data Associated with a Physical Environment
Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for obfuscating location data associated with a physical environment. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining, via an environmental sensor, environmental data corresponding to a physical environment. A first portion of the environmental data that corresponds to a first location is identified. In response to the first location being of a first location type, location data indicative of the first location is obfuscated from the environmental data by modifying the first portion of the environmental data.
Changing Resource Utilization Associated with a Media Object Based on an Engagement Score
In accordance with some implementations, a method is performed at an electronic device with one or more processors, a non-transitory memory, and a display. The method includes displaying, on the display, a representation of a first portion of a media object, wherein the first portion of the media object is associated with a first resource utilization value. The first resource utilization value characterizes a utilization of a respective resource by the electronic device. The method includes determining an engagement score that characterizes a level of user engagement with respect to the representation of the first portion of the media object. The method includes changing the utilization of the respective resource from the first resource utilization value to a second resource utilization value based on a function of the engagement score. The second resource utilization value is associated with a second portion of the media object.
Information displaying method and electronic device therefor
An electronic device including a display, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the display and the memory. The processor may be configured to: display a partial image, corresponding to a view area to be watched, in an omnidirectional image stored in the memory, on the display; select a display attribute on the basis of the distance between the view area and an area of interest in the omnidirectional image; and display additional information associated with the area of interest, on the display on the basis of the selected display attribute. Various other embodiments found through the specification are also possible.
VIDEO DISPLAY SYSTEM, VIDEO CONVERSION DEVICE, AND VIDEO DISPLAY METHOD
The video display system includes a plurality of display devices having mutually different display delay times and a video conversion device that divides an input integrated video signal into a plurality of video signals and respectively outputs the plurality of video signals to the plurality of display devices. At least one of the plurality of video signals is output in a delayed state to make a difference between display timings of the plurality of videos respectively displayed on the plurality of display devices substantially zero, based on the display delay times.
CREATIVE INTENT SCALABILITY VIA PHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING
Creative intent input describing emotion expectations and narrative information relating to media content is received. Expected physiologically observable states relating to the media content are generated based on the creative intent input. An audiovisual content signal with the media content and media metadata comprising the physiologically observable states is provided to a playback apparatus. The audiovisual content signal causes the playback device to use physiological monitoring signals to determine, with respect to a viewer, assessed physiologically observable states relating to the media content and generate, based on the expected physiologically observable states and the assessed physiologically observable states, modified media content to be rendered to the viewer.
Video compression
A method, system and product for compressing videos. The method comprising: obtaining a video that comprises a sequence of video frames, wherein the sequence of video frames comprises at least a first frame and a second frame, wherein the first frame is ordered before the second frame in the sequence of video frames; determining to preserve the first frame in its entirety; and in response to a determination to utilize a partial frame instead of the second frame: cropping the second frame to determine a cropped frame, wherein the cropped frame is smaller in at least one dimension than the second frame, wherein said cropping is based on an anchor location; whereby an alternative video can be constructed using the first frame and the cropped frame, wherein the alternative video does not include a remainder portion of the second frame in an explicit manner.
SCENE CACHING FOR VIDEO CAPTURE DATA REDUCTION
A method for processing a video stream includes obtaining frame data of a current frame of the video stream, determining frame difference data based on a comparison of the frame data of the current frame and scene cache data for a previous frame of the video stream, the scene cache data being stored in a scene cache for the video stream, determining, based on the frame difference data, regions of the video stream to be re-sampled at a higher resolution than the frame data, obtaining re-sampling data for the determined regions, updating the scene cache data based on the obtained frame data and the re-sampling data, and providing the re-sampling data to a processor to update an analysis scene cache for the video stream.
INTERRUPTIBLE VIDEO TRANSCODING
Implementations described herein relate to methods, devices, and computer-readable media to transcode a video. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining a video that includes a plurality of tracks. The method further includes determining whether a partial transcoded file is available that corresponds to the video. The method further includes, if the partial transcoded file is available, obtaining a timestamp associated with the partial transcoded file, transcoding a portion of the video that begins at the timestamp associated with the partial transcoded file, and combining the partial transcoded file and the transcoded portion of the video to generate an output video. The method further includes, if the partial transcoded file is not available, transcoding the video from a start of the video using the transcoder to obtain a plurality of output tracks and combining the plurality of output tracks to obtain the output video.
