Transmission device, transmission method, and content distribution system
A transmission device encodes content data, divides the encoded content data into a plurality of pieces of transmission data, and transmits the pieces to, through a plurality of uploaders and a plurality of networks corresponding to the plurality of uploaders, a distribution device configured to perform content distribution.
Media streaming
There is disclosed a system for providing streaming services, comprising: a plurality of capture devices, each for capturing data and providing a captured data stream; and a server, for receiving the plurality of captured data streams; wherein each capture device is configured to generate metadata for the captured data, and transmit said metadata to the server.
Audio or visual output (A/V) devices registering with a wireless hub system
A wireless hub device may receive wireless signals associated with a plurality of audio or visual output (A/V) devices for registering with a wireless hub system, wherein the plurality of A/V devices are configured into a plurality of zones. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to a plurality of A/V devices in one of the zones so that the plurality of A/V devices are calibrated within the zone. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to the plurality of A/V devices in the one zone so that an output level of the plurality of the A/V devices in the one zone is increased or decreased.
Systems and methods to enhance interactive program watching
Systems and methods are provided for providing an enhanced viewing experience for one or more users of an interactive media program. One example method includes receiving, at a computing device, the interactive media program, wherein the interactive media program comprises a plurality of alternative segments followed by a common segment. A selection of a first alternative segment is received and is generated for output. A summary of at least one segment from the plurality of alternative segments is generated, and the summary is generated for output. The common segment of the interactive media program is generated for output.
Voice operated remote control
A wireless device may receive from a source device an instruction to present program content. The wireless device may determine device types missing from an entertainment system based on supporting playback of the program content. A device type missing from the entertainment system may be registered. An instruction may be transmitted to an active source device to increment or decrement a counter. The counter may represent a total number of zones that receives data from the active source device.
Systems and methods for generating a watch schedule and compressed content to complete a series before expiration
Systems and methods are described herein for generating a watch schedule and compressed series for a user for a series that is expected to become unavailable. Availability data indicating when a content series will become unavailable is received and compared to user progression habits. If the content series will become unavailable before the user will complete it, a watch schedule may be offered to the user. If the user subsequently falls behind on this watch schedule, a compressed version of the content series may be offered to the user.
A SEAMLESS SWITCHING METHOD, DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM OF HARDWARE DECODING DYNAMIC RESOLUTION
The present invention provides a method, device and computer-readable medium of a seamless and dynamic switch between resolutions based on hardware decoding and belongs to a field of the internet technology. According to the method, device and computer-readable medium of the present invention, during a DASH video playback, when it needs to switch to another resolution, the original decoder continues to decode the video stream in the original encoded format that already stores in a buffer, while the video stream in the original encoded format is decoded, a second decoder corresponding to a target encoded format is initialized based on a video stream in the target encoded format received by the original decoder, and the video stream of the target encoded format is decoded by the second decoder, so as to realize the seamless switch between resolutions, avoid a jam in the process of playing the video, and improve the user experience.
System and method to adapting video size
The present invention discloses a method for real time dynamic responsive/adapting/adjusting video in real-time to required/defined display size. The method comrading the steps of: Identifying size requirements Receiving/uploading instructions/policy for changing/adapting the video based on required display size; Changing/cropping video based on pre-defined rules or dynamic rules when changing display size requirement.
Low-latency HTTP live streaming
Implementations provide low-latency live-video streams using existing content delivery networks. An example method includes receiving a video broadcast as a series of frames and determining, for each frame, whether the frame is a break frame. Responsive to determining that the frame is a break frame, the method includes removing an in-progress tag from a current segment file in a playlist for the video broadcast. The playlist includes at least a previous segment file, the current segment file, and a next segment file, which also has a respective in-progress tag. The method also includes associating the frame with a next segment file in a playlist and transmitting the playlist to a cache server. Responsive to determining the frame in the series of frames is not a break frame, the method includes associating the frame with the current segment file. The frame is transmitted to the cache server as a chunk.
Communication apparatus, control method for controlling the same, and recording medium for the same
A communication apparatus includes a communication unit; and a control unit. The control unit performs control to cause a relay apparatus via the communication unit to request, from an external apparatus, second data for transmitting first data to the external apparatus. The control unit performs control to cause the communication unit to receive the second data from the relay apparatus. The control unit performs control to cause the communication unit to transmit the first data to the external apparatus without going through the relay apparatus based on the second data. The first data is communicated in compliance with a first communication protocol, and the second data is communicated in compliance with a second communication protocol. A communication compliant with the first communication protocol is less delayed than a communication compliant with the second communication protocol.
