Signature retrieval and matching for media monitoring
An example apparatus includes a first query processor to obtain a first hash key, first qualifier data and first value data associated with the first hash key, the first value data including a second hash key and a third hash key; a candidate qualifier to use the first value data to prequalify the first hash key as a candidate for subsequent signature processing associated with a first site signature, the candidate qualifier to: determine prequalification of the first hash key is successful in response to a determination that the second hash key matches a second site signature preceding the first site signature in time and that the third hash key matches a third site signature following the first site signature in time; and determine the prequalification of the first hash key is unsuccessful in response to a determination that at least one of the second hash key fails to match the second site signature or the third hash key fails to match the third site signature.
Crowdsourced playback control of media content
Example embodiments provide systems and methods for crowdsourced skipping of media content portions. In an example method, a plurality of content tags are received from a plurality of media content devices over a communication network. Each of the plurality of content tags may designate a location within a media content item. The content tags are processed to generate aggregated content tags for the media content item. The aggregated content tags may designate one or more portions of the media content item for modified playback. The aggregated content tags for the media content item are transmitted over the communication network to a first media content device separate from the plurality of media content devices.
ORIENTATION CONTROL OF DISPLAY DEVICE BASED ON CONTENT
An electronic device including a display device configured to render first content. The electronic device is communicably coupled to the display device and controls one or more imaging devices to receive one or more images from the one or more imaging devices. The electronic device further determines a first position of one or more living objects within a pre-defined region from the display device, based on the received one or more images and the rendered first content. The electronic device further controls an orientation of the display device towards the determined first position of the one or more living objects.
LYRIC VIDEO DISPLAY METHOD AND DEVICE, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides a lyric video display method and device, an electronic apparatus, and a computer-readable medium. The method includes: playing, based on a lyric video display operation of a user, multimedia data and data about music to be displayed, the multimedia data including image data, and the music data including audio data and lyrics; determining a target time point, determining a target object in the image data corresponding to the target time point, and determining target lyrics in the lyrics corresponding to the target time point; and displaying the target lyrics within a preset range of a position of the target object in the target image, and adjusting display effects of the target lyrics based on depth information of the target object, while playing a part of the audio data corresponding to the target lyrics.
PROVIDING CONTENT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USER GROUPS
A device implementing the subject system may include at least one processor configured to obtain a first preference profile corresponding to a first user, a second preference profile corresponding to a second user, and a group preference profile corresponding to a user group that includes the first and second users. The at least one processor may be further configured to generate an aggregate preference profile based at least in part on the first preference profile, the second preference profile, and the group preference profile and to identify content items based at least in part on the aggregate preference profile. The at least one processor may be further configured to rank the content items and provide, for display on a content output device, at least one indication of at least one of the ranked content items as a recommendation for the user group.
Dynamic video background responsive to environmental cues
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, generating a video scene adapted to establish an ambiance setting and providing the video scene to equipment of a user for presentation at a display device. A visual focus is detected of the user towards presentation of the video scene displayed proximate to the user and the video scene is modified responsive to the visual focus. The modifying of the video scene is adapted to discourage visual focus of the user towards the presentation of the video scene. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Systems and methods for adapting content items to endpoint media devices
Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for adapting content items to device operations of an endpoint media device are disclosed. A first content composite may be created by one or more processing devices for delivery in a packet stream from a content provider system via one or more networks, where the first content composite may include an adaptable content item corresponding to a set of one or more audio and/or video packets corresponding to audio and/or video content. The first content composite may be transmitted, where, consequent to delivery of the first content composite to a first endpoint media device or a second endpoint media device, the first endpoint media device or the second endpoint media device may perform one operation relating to a second content item of the first content composite, where the adaptable content item may be modified based on the second content item.
CULTURAL DISTANCE PREDICTION SYSTEM FOR MEDIA ASSET
Various embodiments described herein support or provide for cultural distance prediction operations of a media asset, such as determining events in a media asset, determining geographical region corresponding to the culture of origin and the culture of destination, accessing weight values of cultural attribute categories respectively associated with the geographical regions of the culture of origin and the culture of destination, generating cultural distance score of events, and causing display of the cultural distance score on a user interface of a client device.
METHODS, APPARATUS, AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE TO IDENTIFY CANDIDATES FOR MEDIA ASSET QUALIFICATION
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to identify candidates for media asset qualification. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a media creditor to determine whether to credit a first media asset to linear media or non-linear media, the non-linear media including subscription video on demand (SVOD). Disclosed example apparatus also include a media asset candidate controller to: classify the first media asset as a non-candidate for media asset qualification in response to the first media asset being credited to the linear media or the non-linear media. In some examples, the media asset candidate controller is to determine whether to classify the first media asset as a candidate for media asset qualification based on whether the first media asset remains uncredited by the media creditor and the first media asset overlaps a streaming period.
Methods and apparatus to assign viewers to media meter data
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to assign viewers to media meter data are disclosed. An apparatus includes memory, and a processor to execute instructions to: determine first probabilities for first panelists in a first household based on a first number of minutes of first media presented by a first media presentation device monitored by a first meter, determine second probabilities for second panelists in a plurality of second households based on a second number of minutes of second media presented by second media presentation devices monitored by a plurality of second meters, compare the first probabilities and the second probabilities to identify a candidate household from the plurality of second households to associated with the first household, and impute respective portions of the first number of minutes to corresponding ones of the first panelists when monitored behavior of the candidate household matches monitored behavior of the first household.
