Selective Content Masking for Collaborative Computing
A machine-learned sharing system and methods are provided for sharing content with users while masking sensitive information. The system receives a content stream for display to one or more users, converts the content stream into image data representative of at least a portion of the content stream, inputs the image data into a machine-learned model configured for masking sensitive content within shared content, receives from the machine-learned model a first mask indicative of a region within the first content stream that contains sensitive content, and renders a display of the content stream that masks the sensitive content based at least in part on the first mask indicative of the region of the first content stream having the sensitive content.
Encoding device and method, reproduction device and method, and program
The present technology relates to an encoding device, an encoding method, a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a program enabling each reproduction equipment to reproduce an appropriate content in a simplified manner. A content data decoding unit decodes encoded metadata and outputs zoom area information, which is included in metadata acquired as a result thereof, designating an area to be zoomed. A zoom area selecting unit selects one or a plurality of pieces of zoom area information from among the zoom area information. A video segmenting unit segments a zoom area represented by the selected zoom area information in a video based on video data and outputs zoom video data acquired as a result thereof. An audio converting unit performs an audio converting process according to the selected zoom area information for audio data and outputs zoom audio data acquired as a result thereof. The present technology can be applied to a reproduction device.
Customized 360-degree media viewing
Systems and methods are disclosed including techniques for rendering a 360-degree media content. Techniques disclosed include receiving a 360-degree media content and associated metadata that include a classification of a first spatial region from the received content. Techniques disclosed further include determining that a detected user movement is associated with a rendering of the first spatial region and determining whether the classification associated with the first spatial region complies with a stored user preference. If the classification violates the user preference, a path for gradually shifting the content rendering from a currently rendered spatial region to a spatial region that complies with the user preference is determined, and the received content is rendered according to the determined path.
Automated cinematic decisions based on descriptive models
In one embodiment, a method includes, at a first time during an audio-video communication session: (1) determining that a first participant is located in an environment; (2) locating a first body region of the first participant; (3) generating a first color histogram of the first body region that represents a first distribution of colors of the first body region. The method also includes, at a second time: (1) determining that a second participant is located in the environment; (2) locating a second body region of the second participant; (3) generating a second color histogram of the second body region that represents a second distribution of one or more colors of the second body region. The method also includes determining that the first and second color histograms are substantially alike, and based on the determination, determining that the first participant is the same as the second participant.
Image processing apparatus
A video signal distributor that copies a video signal according to a size of a display region of a device, a video signal magnification/reduction section that magnifies or reduces the copied video signal in accordance with a resolution of the device, a first image size change processor that performs image size increase/decrease processing in such a way that the video signal has a magnification that corresponds to a size of a first display region of the device, and a second image size change processor that performs the image size increase/decrease processing in such a way that the video signal has a magnification that corresponds to a size of a second display region of the device, are included.
DIRECTING USER FOCUS IN 360 VIDEO CONSUMPTION
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including obtaining media content and an identification of a plurality of points of interest in the media content, receiving a request from a user to view the media content, obtaining information about the user, identifying one or more highlight and/or degrade points based on the information about the user, modifying the media content to create highlighted content, the highlighted content being the media content modified to attract attention of the user to the highlight point and drive the attention of the user away from the degrade point, presenting the highlighted content to the user, and monitoring the user's consumption of the content. Other embodiments are disclosed.
COMMUNICATION EVENT
In a communication event via a network between a requesting user, operating a first user device, and a responding user, operating a second user device, each of the user devices captures a stream of audio data, transmits the captured stream of audio data to the other user device via the network for receiving thereat, and outputs, to its user, the audio stream received from the other user device. A video exchange function is initially suppressed for the communication event for both of the user devices. The first user device transmits to the second user device a request to stop suppressing video. If the responding user does not accept the request, the video exchange function continues to be suppressed for both of the user devices. If the responding user accepts the request, the video exchange function stops being suppressed for both of the user devices.
Method and apparatus for providing and using content advisory information on internet contents
Provided are a method and apparatus for providing and using content advisory (CA) information on Internet contents. A method of providing CA information by using a CA information server, includes receiving a request for the CA information on a content, from an Internet Protocol television (IPTV); searching for CA information on the content; and transmitting the found CA information to the IPTV. A method of using CA information when an IPTV reproduces a content not having the CA information, according to the present invention, includes transmitting a request for CA information, to a CA information server; receiving the CA information from the CA information server; analyzing the CA information; and applying the CA information.
PARTIAL FRAME REPLACEMENT ENABLING MULTIPLE VERSIONS IN AN INTEGRATED VIDEO PACKAGE
Multiple different versions of media content are contained in a single package of audio-video media content, using compression algorithms that reduce storage and bandwidth required for storing multiple full-resolution versions of the media. Portions of individual frames are replaced during playback so that only the pixels that differ between versions need to be stored.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMAGE DISPLAY USING PRIVACY MASKING
The present application discloses a method and an apparatus for displaying an image based on privacy masking, which belong to the field of video monitoring. The method includes: acquiring a to-be-masked original image provided by an image capture terminal and privacy masking area information of the original image; wherein, the privacy masking area information is obtained by identifying the original image or is obtained from the image capture terminal and indicates an area in the original image which is required to be masked; determining whether the original image is required to be privacy-masked based on whether privacy unmasking permission information is stored; if the original image is required to be privacy-masked, performing privacy-masking on the original image based on the privacy masking area information to obtain a masked image, and displaying the masked image. In this way, the image capture terminal is only required to provide an original image without providing the original image and the masked image, so the costs of both storage and transmission are low, saving the storage resources and network resources of the image capture terminal.
