A variable prism is sandwiched between the lens module and the image sensor when the apparatus is installed in the camera unit for maintaining focal plane of the lens module on the image sensor independently of optical image stabilization operations caused by the tilting of the lens module.

Camera device

A camera device comprises an image sensor, a first moving module and two groups of second moving modules. The first moving module is connected to the image sensor. The first moving module is activated to move the image sensor linearly along a first axis. The second moving module is connected to the image sensor. The second moving module is activated to move the image sensor linearly along a second axis, which intersects with the first axis. The two groups of second moving modules are activated simultaneously to rotate the image sensor around a third axis, which is orthogonal to the first and second axes, respectively. The image sensor compensates for the image by linear movement in the direction of the first axis and the second axis and can also compensate for the image by rotation in the direction of the third axis to achieve three-axis image stabilization.

An embodiment of the present invention discloses a camera actuator comprising: a housing; a mover disposed in the housing and including protrusions on one surface which protrude toward the housing; and a driving unit disposed in the housing and rotating the mover on the basis of a first direction or a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the protrusions comprise: a first protrusion disposed on the one surface; a second protrusion spaced apart from the first protrusion; and a third protrusion separated from the first protrusion by a distance greater than from the second protrusion, and wherein the housing comprises: a groove in which the first protrusion is seated on an inner surface corresponding to the one surface; a first hole through which the second protrusion passes; and a second hole through which the third protrusion passes, wherein a side surface of the second protrusion is spaced apart from the first hole, and the housing includes a protruding part disposed on a side of the second hole and extending toward the third protrusion.

Either end part of the inside holder is rotatably supported on the outside holder. The drive unit has: an ultrasonic motor supported on the outside holder, and an intermediate part supported on the inside holder. The ultrasonic motor has an oscillator that resonates, and the intermediate part has a fan-shaped contact part that contacts the oscillator.

Insert molded optics holder

A camera may include an optical components holder to hold optical components (e.g., one or more lenses and a light folding element) of the camera. The optical components holder may be formed using an insert-molding processor including a metal frame. One portion of the metal frame may form an upper wall of a portion of the optical components holder that holds the light folding element. Another portion of the metal frame may be at least partially exposed from a side wall adjacent the upper wall of the portion of the optical components holder. In addition, the camera may include a protection structure to protect the optical components holder from colliding with another component of the camera or a mobile multipurpose device.

The driving portion includes a magnet disposed on the magnet holder, a yoke facing the magnet in a first direction, and a coil disposed between the magnet and the yoke, and a center of the yoke may be disposed on a plane different from a first plane passing through the optical axis and a center of the magnet.
