The first reception unit receives a use request for use of specific data, which are necessary when using the apparatus itself, from a terminal device held by a user of the apparatus itself. The first transmission unit transmits positional information which indicates a position, in a data management apparatus that manages the specific data, at which the specific data which are available to the user are stored, to the terminal device in response to reception of the use request. The processing unit performs a process that uses at least part of the specific data in response to reception of an instruction for the process from the terminal device which references the specific data by connecting to the position which is indicated by the positional information in the data management apparatus.

An example method of authenticating a digital signature extracted from a high resolution image includes comparing an extracted signature from an image to a reference signature. The example method also includes authenticating the extracted signature against the reference signature according to one of a plurality of different authentication protocols.

A verification system includes: a code generation server publicizing time stamped codes; a proving device, including a video camera, that acquires a published time stamped code from the code generation server, and, while recording a video, incorporates the acquired time stamped code into the video; and a verifying device that receives the video, extracts the time stamped code from the content of the video, compares the time stamped code to published time stamped codes, and displays a verification of the published time stamped code.

A method for enhancing detection of a fraudulent identity document in an image is provided that includes receiving, by an electronic device, an image of an identity document associated with a user including at least one background object. The method also includes determining the size and orientation of the at least one background object based on the received image, extracting information about the received image from the received image, and extracting information from the received image about a capture device that captured the received image. Each of the size and orientation of the at least one background object, the extracted received image data information, and the extracted capture device information is compared against corresponding information in record data of the user. A similarity score is calculated for each comparison. When each similarity score satisfies a threshold value, the identity document in the received image is deemed to be fraudulent.
Method of rendering a document secure
A method of integrating a mark in a document. A frame to be printed is selected. At least one color of the selected frame is selected. A color density for each selected color for the selected frame is determined. A digital code is selected for each selected color. After printing, the digital code includes the density of the color. and is integrated into the frame of the corresponding color. The frame including the digital code is printed. Preferably, the digital code is a digital anti-copy mark designed to form, following the printing step, a printed anti-copy mark with an error rate of more than five percent.

The processor also places the augmented captured information in association with subscriber information in a transmission of the augmented captured information to a receiving facility requiring such subscriber information. A transmitter transmits the transmission including the augmented captured information and the subscriber information to the receiving facility. An encryptor encrypts the augmented captured information with a symmetrical encryption algorithm to provide encrypted augmented captured information in the transmission with the subscriber information.
