System and method for sending, delivering and receiving of faxes, including delivery of faxes with adaptive protocol selection
Embodiments of a fax system with adaptive protocol selection, and methods for such a system, are disclosed herein. Embodiments of a fax system may be adapted to selectively configure the protocol (both the type of protocol or aspects of a particular protocol) used in association with the transmission or reception of a specific fax. The configuration of the protocol utilized can be based on one or more attributes associated with a sender or a destination. The fax can then be transmitted or received according to those configuration parameters.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a communication apparatus capable of preventing a decrease in the speed of communication with an external device due to execution of a handover when the communication apparatus is connected to the external device, and also directed to a control method and a recording medium. A communication apparatus provides, by using a first communication portion that uses a first communication method, communication information for performing communication based on a second communication method to an external device, and causes a second communication portion that uses the second communication method to connect with the external device using the second communication method, and performs control in such a manner that, in a case where the second communication portion connects with the external device, the first communication portion is used to provide communication information to no other external devices.
READING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING READING DEVICE
A reading device connected to an external device include a transport section configured to transport a document, a reading section configured to read the document transported by the transport section, a data generation section configured to generate image data of the document read by the reading section; a transfer section configured to transfer the image data to the external device, a notification section configured to notify information to a user, and a control section, wherein the control section is configured to control a transport speed of the document by the transport section based on a transfer speed of the image data by the transfer section and, when the transport speed is changed, to cause the notification section to notify using a change notification A1 indicating a change in the transport speed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENDING, DELIVERY AND RECEIVING OF FAXES, INCLUDING DELIVERY OF FAXES WITH ADAPTIVE PROTOCOL SELECTION
Communication apparatus performing control of operation for communication using first communication method based on connection using second communication method, and control method of the communication apparatus

Facsimile communication
Examples to facilitate facsimile communication are described herein. In an example, on receiving a communication error for a call session, values of communication parameters to be used for another call session, which is subsequent to the call session for which the communication error is received, may be determined. The communication parameter may be, for instance, a transmission rate and an error correction mode (ECM). The values of the communication parameters in the subsequent call session may be determined, based on values of these parameters in a previous call session(s), i.e., the call session for which the communication error is received. Further, a communication channel may be established using the determined values of the communication parameters.

Image formation control method, image forming system, and image forming apparatus for controlling data transfer among a plurality of communication paths
An image formation control method for controlling an image forming system including a controller that converts original image data into image formation image data, an image forming apparatus that includes a control unit and an image forming unit and forms an image on a sheet on a basis of the image formation image data, a plurality of communication paths through which plural pieces of data are capable of being transferred in parallel between the controller and the image forming apparatus, and a measurement unit that measures data transfer speed of each of the plurality of communication paths includes causing the control unit to refer to the data transfer speed of each of the plurality of communication paths measured by the measurement unit and to assign a data transfer to each of the plurality of communication paths.
Printing apparatus, control method of printing apparatus, and storage medium
A printing apparatus includes a printer engine and a network interface. A first controller communicates with the network interface, and a second controller controls power supply to the printer engine and the first controller. The first controller, when the printing apparatus makes a transition to a power-saving state, causes the network interface to be in a first sleep state or a second sleep state from the normal operation state and instructs the second controller to stop power supply to the first controller. The second controller supplies power to the first controller when the printing apparatus resumes from the first sleep state, and supplies power to the first controller and the printer engine when the printing apparatus resumes from the second sleep state.
