Speaker device and microphone device
A speaker device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a magnetic circuit having a magnetic gap, a ribbon-like diaphragm disposed in a magnetic field in the magnetic gap, a plurality of parallel conductors provided on the diaphragm and extending in a direction orthogonal to a direction of the magnetic field, and a driving unit that supplies driving currents in the same direction to the plurality of parallel conductors. Both end portions of the diaphragm are continuous via a pivoting board disposed so as to bypass the magnetic gap, and connection conductors for spirally connecting the plurality of parallel conductors are provided on the pivoting board.

PLANAR MAGNETIC ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER HAVING MULTIPLE DIAPHRAGMS
A multi-diaphragm planar magnetic electro-acoustic transducer is provided, having a plurality of diaphragms arranged in one or more diaphragm modules. Each diaphragm comprises a substrate and at least one electrically conductive circuit on at least one surface of the substrate. Each diaphragm module comprises at least one diaphragm, each held taut by a frame. Each diaphragm module is disposed to one side or the other of at least one planar magnetic array, the diaphragm module being parallel to and aligned with the planar magnetic array to form the multi-diaphragm planar magnetic transducer. The planar magnets many have a vertical arrangement, a sideways arrangement, a staggered arrangement, and may comprise stators and/or a low reluctance backing plate or channel piece. The planar magnet arrays can be linear or circular.

Unidirectional microphone
To obtain a unidirectional microphone with high sound quality, which achieves unidirectivity while preventing deterioration in sound quality of a ribbon microphone. A unidirectional condenser microphone and bi-directional ribbon microphones are included, and the unidirectional condenser microphone and the bi-directional ribbon microphones are disposed such that a 0 direction of a sound collecting axis of the unidirectional condenser microphone accords with a 180 direction of sound collecting axes of the bi-directional ribbon microphones, and an output of the unidirectional condenser microphone is subtracted from an output of the 180 direction of the bi-directional ribbon microphones.

Microphone with rounded magnet motor assembly, backwave chamber, and phantom powered JFET circuit
A novel ribbon microphone incorporates rounded-edge magnet motor assembly, a backwave chamber, and a phantom-powered JFET circuit. In one embodiment of the invention, one or more novel rounded-edge magnets may be placed close to a ribbon of the ribbon microphone, wherein the one or more novel rounded-edge magnets reduce or minimize reflected sound wave interferences with the vibration of the ribbon during an operation of the ribbon microphone. Furthermore, in one embodiment of the invention, a novel backwave chamber operatively connected to a backside of the ribbon can minimize acoustic pressure, anomalies in frequency responses, and undesirable phase cancellation and doubling effects. Moreover, in one embodiment of the invention, a novel phantom-powered JFET preamplifier gain circuit can minimize undesirable sound distortions and reduce the cost of producing a conventional preamplifier gain circuit.
Ribbon support system for electrodynamic microphone
A ribbon microphone having a housing made of wood, a wood laminate, or another suitable composite material having a characteristic impedance and density and a ribbon transducer assembly with metal support chassis having a higher characteristic impedance and density. By engineering a body housing and the ribbon support chassis having a similar or equal total weight but differing greatly in density, a rapid attenuation of internal harmonics is achieved, particularly reducing the undesirable metallic resonance of the metal bodies of conventional microphones. The improved tonal quality is achieved, not by uncoupling the acoustic mass of the housing, but rather, by tightly coupling the wood housing to a slender chassis on rails that support the ribbon. Advantageously, this cooperative effect also acts to dampen unwanted rumble and external shock outputs, and in a preferred embodiment, magnetic pole pieces are eliminated by designing air gaps between the chassis and the magnets. The chassis is a conductor and electrically connects the ribbon to a transformer, eliminating the need for solder connections. Thus the ribbon support system of the invention achieves a synergy of function by eliminating unneeded parts, simplifying assembly, and improving the tonal quality of the microphone.
