A user equipment (UE) device may reside in a state of dual connectivity with a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG), wherein the radio access technologies of the MCG and the SCG are different. While in the dual connectivity state, the UE device may transition to a mode of reduced activity (e.g., processing and/or RF activity) relative to the secondary cell group (SCG) in order to save power, e.g., when traffic flow via the SCG is below a threshold, or when scheduling activity on the SCG is low. Various mechanisms may be employed to reduce activity, e.g., mechanisms such as reduction of beam monitoring, deactivation of secondary cells of the SCG, reduction of number of active antenna elements, employment of longer periods for periodic measurement and reporting processes, etc.

The present application relates to a resource determination method, a terminal device, and a network device. The resource determination method comprises: a terminal device determining a time interval between a time-domain resource and a paging resource of an energy saving signal; and on the basis of the time interval, the terminal device determining a time-domain resource for detecting the energy saving signal. According to the embodiments of the present application, by means of determining a time interval between a time-domain resource and a paging resource of an energy saving signal, a terminal device can correctly receive the energy saving signal.
METHODS FOR PERFORMING DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION ON SIDELINK
A method for determining a DRX operation in a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) that has information indicating multiple DRX configurations, includes selecting a first DRX configuration from the multiple DRX configurations based on a first cast type and an associated first quality of service (QoS) information for a first sidelink radio bearer (SLRB) configuration, selecting a second DRX configuration from the multiple DRX configurations based on a second cast type and an associated second QoS information for a second SLRB configuration, determining a sidelink monitoring time based on a combination of an active time associated with the first DRX configuration and an active time associated with the second DRX configuration, and monitoring a sidelink control channel using the determined sidelink monitoring time.
BANDWIDTH PART CONTROL FOR NETWORK POWER SAVING
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may send signaling to multiple user equipments (UEs) indicating for the UEs to switch to a radio frequency bandwidth. The UEs may operate according to a reduced set of communication operations in accordance with the radio frequency bandwidth. For example, the UEs may refrain from monitoring one or more channels, may not transmit on one or more channels, or the like. The UEs may switch out of the radio frequency bandwidth based on a trigger event, such as a timer expiring, receiving an indication in a downlink control information (DCI) message, or the like.
DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION SHORT CADENCE
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a discontinuous reception (DRX) short cadence value that corresponds to a number of Hertz (Hz). The UE may sleep as part of a DRX cycle. For example, a method of wireless communication can include receiving, while in a connected mode, a configuration based on data traffic for the wireless communication device, the configuration indicating: a first zone associated with a first set of operating parameters for the wireless communication device; and a second zone associated with a second set of operating parameters for the wireless communication device, the second set of operating parameters being different than the first set of operating parameters; operating in the first zone with the first set of operating parameters to monitor for a first downlink communication signal; and operating in the second zone with the second set of operating parameters.

A method for limiting Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) reporting from a User Equipment to a network node is provided where a User Equipment can transmit CQI reports to a network node, such as e.g. a base station, when the User Equipment is operating in low transmission and/or low reception activity mode.
