Systems and methods for centralized power management of wireless user devices are disclosed. In embodiments, a method comprises: monitoring, by a computing device, battery charge levels for remote user devices; identifying, by the computing device, that a battery charge level of a first user device of the remote user devices is below a predetermined threshold value based on the monitoring; identifying, by the computing device, at least one in-use device from the remote user devices based on real-time data indicating that the at least one in-use device is in use by a user; and sending, by the computing device, an alert to the at least one in-use device based on the identifying the at least one in-use device, wherein the alert includes information about the first user device and information regarding the battery charge level of the first device.

WIRELESS DEVICE, NODE AND METHODS PERFORMED THEREBY, FOR HANDLING A TRANSMISSION

A method performed by a wireless device (131). The wireless device (111) operates in a wireless communications network (100). The device monitors (504), in sleep mode, using a first receiver, which is a WUR, whether a first radio signal is received. The signal indicates the device is in coverage of a node (101). The monitoring (504) is performed with the proviso the device has obtained information to send. The device also sends (508) the information based on whether it receives the signal. If the device receives the signal, the signal wakes-up a second receiver, sends the information using the second receiver, goes back to sleep, and c) refrains from monitoring (504) with the proviso the device lacks further information to be sent. If the device fails to receive the signal, it stores the information and b) stays in sleep mode, until it sends the information, using the second receiver, when the wireless device (131) receives the signal.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR POWER CONFIGURATIONS IN RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICES

Devices and methods power configurations of radio communication devices. A device may include a memory storing communication activity data comprising information indicating a plurality of attributes with respect to communication activities over a radio connection between a user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS). The device may further include a processor that is configured to provide the communication activity data to a trained machine learning model configured to predict a communication activity for the radio connection between the UE and the BS and encode a power preference information for transmission to the BS based on the predicted communication activity.

System of on-body mobile devices and methods of operation
09843353 · 2017-12-12 ·

A system of mobile devices that reduces the transmission strength of outgoing signals originating from a handheld device, and sends such signals to a second device, situated near or on a lower-body location, where the signals may be amplified to the current permitted maximum transmission strength vis-a-vis the brain (SAR), or above that level to the greater maximum strength permitted in the areas of, e.g., the feet and ankles, where the signal is then sent outward. The devices divert radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure downward toward the lower extremities. The intelligence and power of the devices may be split between two or more devices, resulting in longer use time, deeper and more complex computing capability, and fewer disruptions due to power. In addition, a benefit in one or more embodiments is better, more reliable reception, due to the use of two or more coordinated receiving antennas.

Uplink allocation in wireless communication systems
11683804 · 2023-06-20 · ·

A method of wireless communication, the method including: identifying a resource block assignment for a non-data uplink resource within a set of resource blocks; determining a first range of resource blocks below the resource block assignment for the non-data uplink resource and identifying a second range of resource blocks above the resource block assignment for the non-data uplink resource; calculating a first bandwidth associated with the first range of resource blocks and calculating a second bandwidth associated with the second range of resource blocks; and configuring a first wireless communication device to work within a discrete bandwidth level sufficient to encompass a larger one of the first bandwidth and the second bandwidth, wherein the discrete bandwidth level is less than a full uplink bandwidth assigned by a network serving the first wireless communication device.

AUTOMATICALLY CHANGING MESSAGE TRANSMISSION MODES IN A TRACKING DEVICE
20230189156 · 2023-06-15 ·

A tracking device is configured to monitor a parameter, such as battery state or cellular network signal strength, and cause a component of the tracking device to enter a sleep state when a monitored parameter value satisfies a sleep state criterion. Before entering a sleep state, which may comprise a long-range wireless transceiver being turned off, one or more final messages may be emitted that indicate the location of the tracking device before, or at, entering of the sleep state. While in a sleep state, the tracking device may emit a low power beacon, which may be emitted in different formats at different transmission of the beacon. The different beacons may be emitted according to a configured pattern.

FIRST RADIO CAPABLE DEVICE, ACCESS POINT AND METHODS FOR HANDLING ACCESS TO A WIRELESS MEDIUM

A method performed in a wireless communication network for handling access of a first radio capable device, to a wireless medium in the wireless communication network. The wireless communication network prioritizes the first radio capable device over a second radio capable device for accessing the wireless medium based on a respective type of the first radio capable device and the second radio capable device. The first radio capable device is of a first type with an energy harvesting capacity or an energy harvesting capacity with a battery capacity below or equal a threshold, and the second radio capable device is of a second type with a non-energy harvesting capacity or an energy harvesting capacity with a battery capacity above the threshold.
