Wireless communication device and wireless communication method
A wireless communication device which can improve reception quality in a second other wireless communication device is disclosed, including a reception unit which receives a signal from a first other wireless communication device or a second other wireless communication device connected to the wireless communication device and the first other wireless communication device, a transmission power value setting unit which sets a transmission power value in a first subframe, in which the first other wireless communication device transmits a signal to the second other wireless communication device, to be higher than that in a second subframe in which the first other wireless communication device receives a signal from a third other wireless communication device connected to the first other wireless communication device, and a transmission power value switching control unit which performs switching in the first subframe to the transmission power value higher than that in the second subframe.
Method for controlling downlink transmission power and apparatus for same
A method is provided for performing power control by a first base station in a wireless communication system. The first base station acquires a parameter value related with signal strength of a second base station, determines an upper power limit of the first base station in consideration of the signal strength of the second base station and performs signal transmission in consideration of the upper power limit of the first base station. If a first condition including that the parameter value is equal to or more than a first threshold value is satisfied, the upper power limit of the first base station is an intermediate value. If a second condition including that the parameter value is less than the first threshold value is satisfied, the upper power limit of the first base station is a pre-determined value related with the transmit power of the first base station.
Robust inter-radio access technology operations in unlicensed spectrum
Systems and methods are disclosed for mitigating interference between Radio Access Technologies (RATs) sharing operating spectrum in an unlicensed band of radio frequencies. The mitigation may comprise, for example, identifying an upcoming signal transmission associated with a first RAT, with the signal transmission being scheduled for transmission on the shared operating spectrum during a transmission period. The signal transmission may be classified with respect to a protection status. Based on the protection status, a channel reservation message may be transmitted that is associated with a second RAT to reserve at least a portion of the shared operating spectrum for at least a portion of the transmission period.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR SETTING AN UPLINK TARGET RECEIVED POWER FOR A HOME BASE STATION
A communication system is disclosed in which a home base station operates a home cell and a macro base station operates a macro cell. The home base operates a cell located at least partially within the macro cell. The home base station can obtain information identifying a quantity of home base stations that each operate at least one respective cell that is located at least partially within the macro cell and from this information, and further information identifying resource usage via said home base station, can set a target power for said home base station.
TWO-STAGE ALGORITHM FOR UPLINK CoMP
A computer-implemented method for associating users to transmission points over an uplink (UL) of a heterogeneous network (HetNet) is presented. The computer-implemented method includes communicating, via the processor, with a cluster of transmission points, associating each user to one transmission point within the cluster of transmission points by a two-stage procedure, and performing sub-frame scheduling independently by each transmission point within the cluster of transmission points over a set of users associated with.
Method, system, and device for confirming uplink-downlink configuration
Provided are a method, a system, and a device for confirming an uplink-downlink configuration, for use in confirming via interference detection whether or not a cell is capable of conducting independently the uplink-downlink configuration. The method comprises: a network side device confirming the value of an interference parameter of a target cell (201); on the basis of the value of the interference parameter of the target cell, the network side device confirming whether or not the target cell is capable of conducting autonomously the uplink-downlink configuration (202). Employment of the present invention allows for the normal operation of a dynamic uplink-downlink configuration, reduced interference between adjacent cells in a dynamic uplink-downlink configuration environment, and improved system efficiency.
Method and apparatus relating to interferece estimation in cellular communication networks
The present invention pertains to methods and devices relating to neighbor cell interference estimation and handling in cellular communication networks. According to one aspect, there is provided a method for interference handling performed in a radio network node for a cellular communication network. The method comprises measuring a received total wideband power, RTWP, and a load utilization experienced at the radio network node. The method further comprises performing a vector estimation of neighbor cell interference experienced at the radio network node based on the measured RTWP and the measured load utilization. The vector estimation comprises decomposition into at least two scalar component estimations. The method may further comprise obtaining and using tabulated computation support information, which is used when performing the vector estimation of neighbor cell interference. According to another aspect, there is provided a radio network node adapted to perform the method.
Method and apparatus for selectively receiving radio signals
A method, performed in a network node, for selectively receiving radio signals received in a plurality of remote radio head devices connected to the network node. The method comprises determining that a power level of a received radio signal for a first remote radio head device exceeds a threshold power and blocking received radio signals from the first remote radio head device when the power level exceeds the threshold power. A corresponding network node, remote radio head device, computer program and computer program product are also presented.
Downlink power management
A system and related method for increasing or decreasing the range of a pico cell station. The system and method determine triggers for dynamic range change, measure operational conditions and make a change reactive to operational conditions. Range increase may be implemented to address a coverage hole. Range decrease may be implemented to address holdover attempts. Range changes are implemented by changing transmission power, reference signal received power and/or cell reselection thresholds.
Victim aware power control method and apparatus in wireless communication system
The present invention discloses a power control apparatus and method in a wireless communication system. According to the present invention, among FUE units neighboring to an MUE unit of a victim cell, an FUE unit of an aggressor cell may be derived on the basis of information on RSRP of the FUE unit registered in a closed subscriber group, and a threshold interference value of the FUE unit. Also, power of the derived FUE unit of the aggressor cell may be gradually decreased until an interference of the MUE unit of the victim cell becomes greater than a predefined threshold interference value, and an SINR of the FUE unit of the aggressor cell becomes equal to or greater than a target SINR. Accordingly, CCI can be reduced in a heterogeneous network environment, data transmission speed can be improved, and latency time can be reduced by reducing feedback time.
