An Appliance
An appliance (100) has a vessel (120) for containing substance, the vessel (120) having an electrical energy storage component and at least one electrically powered device. The appliance (100) has a base (140) on which the vessel (120) is removably located. When the vessel (120) is located on the base (140), the base (140) is configured to charge the electrical energy storage component. The electrical storage component is configured to power the at least one electrically powered device of the vessel (120).
CONTAINER INCLUDING AGITATOR FOR MICROWAVE SOUS VIDE FUNCTION
A microwave oven container may include a body for containing a liquid, an agitator projecting through a bottom wall of the body to agitate the liquid contained in the body, where the agitator includes a first end located in the body and a second end located exterior to the body. The second end of the agitator is able to couple with a turntable drive of a microwave oven to power movement of the agitator in response to rotation of the turntable drive. The container may also include a cage located within the body that substantially surrounds the first end of the agitator and includes a plurality of openings to allow liquid contained in the body to pass through the cage.
CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR RENEWABLE HOT WATER HEATING SYSTEMS
Provided herein are systems and methods directed to using renewable energy sources with hot water heating systems. The system and method provide for interconnecting a single electrical heating element of a hot water heater to first and second electrical power sources. Typically, these first and second electrical power sources include a utility provided electrical power source (e.g., a fossil fuel AC power source) and a renewable energy power source. A controller selectively connects the first or second power sources.
Medium voltage heater elements moisture detection circuit
In various embodiments, an electrical heating assembly is disclosed. The electrical heating assembly comprises one or more electrical heating elements. A current leakage sensor is operatively coupled to the one or more heating elements. The current leakage generates a signal indicative of current leakage from the electrical heating elements. The current leakage is proportional to an amount of moisture in contact with the electrical heating elements. A thyristor is coupled to the electrical heating elements. The thyristor is configured to control a power level of the one or more heating elements. A control logic is coupled to the thyristor and the leakage circuit. The control logic is configured to activate the one or more heating elements in a dry-out mode and a control mode. The control logic switches from the dry-out mode to the control mode when the signal indicative of the current leakage is below a predetermined threshold.
Heated or cooled portable drinkware
An actively heated or cooled portable container has a body with a chamber that receives and holds a liquid, and one or more heating or cooling elements in thermal communication with at least a portion of the chamber. An outer surface of the body has one or more electrical contacts. A module is removably coupled to a portion of the body. The module has one or more electrical contacts on an outer surface of the module that contact the one or more electrical contacts on the outer surface of the body, control circuitry, and one or more power storage elements that provide power to the control circuitry and/or the one or more heating or cooling elements. The control circuitry wirelessly communicates with a mobile electronic device to wirelessly transmit information to the mobile electronic device associated with the operation of the module and/or wirelessly receive instructions from a user via the mobile electronic device.
Portable heating device
An example portable heating device includes a container, one or more heating elements, an electronic device, one or more temperature sensors, a controller, a power supply, and a power supply controller. The one or more heating elements are in thermal contact with the container. The electronic device is configured to receive a user input selecting a target temperature to heat a substance in the container to and to display the target temperature. The controller is configured to cause the one or more heating elements to heat the substance to the target temperature in response to determining the current temperature of the substance measured by the one or more temperature sensors is less than the target temperature. The power supply is configured to provide power to the one or more heating elements, the electronic device, the one or more temperature sensors, and the controller.
Electric kettle
An electric kettle includes a power supply base and a kettle main body. The kettle main body has a container, a heater provided on the container, a water amount sensor that detects the amount of water in the container, a water temperature sensor that detects the current temperature of the water in the container, and a first display part that displays information on the amount of water detected by the water amount sensor. The power supply base has a power supply cable to be connected to a utility power supply, an operation part that receives a user operation concerning the desired temperature of the water, a power supply circuit that generates a driving power for the heater from an electric power supplied from the utility power supply, and a second display part 46 that displays the current temperature and the desired temperature in a time division manner. The kettle main body includes a battery that drives the water amount sensor and the first display part when the kettle main body is separated from the power supply base.
HAIR DRYER WITH MAINTENANCE SIGNALING SYSTEM
The hair dryer includes an internally hollow body which houses an air inlet filter, an air flow generation unit, and a heating element. The hair dryer includes a maintenance signaling system having a control unit which manages an activator for activating a warning to notify the user in advance when cleaning and/or replacing the air inlet filter is required.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND ELECTRICAL HEATING ELEMENT FOR USE IN A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A household appliance includes: a treatment chamber for receiving goods to be treated, the treatment chamber having a bottom for collecting condensed water from a treatment process, the bottom of the treatment chamber having, on its side facing away from the treatment chamber, at least one flat heating element which heats the bottom of the treatment chamber in at least some regions by at least one electrical heating element, and evaporates the condensed water collected there into the treatment chamber. The electrical heating element includes a heating layer. The at least one flat heating element includes an. electrical measuring element including a measuring layer.
FLUID HEATING APPLIANCE
A coffeemaker generally includes a reservoir and a flow control system for regulating a flow of water from the reservoir. The flow control system has a thin-film heating element that defines at least a portion of a heating conduit in which water is heated.
