11517318 · 2022-12-06 · ·

Some embodiments of a system or method for treating heart tissue can include a control system and catheter device operated in a manner to intermittently occlude a heart vessel for controlled periods of time that provide redistribution of blood flow. In particular embodiments, the system and methods may be configured to monitor at least one input signal detected at a coronary sinus and thereby execute a process for determining a satisfactory time period for the occlusion of the coronary sinus. In further embodiments, after the occlusion of the coronary sinus is released, the control system can be configured to select the duration of the release phase before the starting the next occlusion cycle.

A latch system to lock the distal end of the catheter to the proximal connecting hub arm includes an arm attached to the distal end of the catheter that is resiliently deformable such that the arm engages a sidewall of the proximal connecting hub and a locking element that is axially adjustable.

System Comprising an Elongated Catheter and an Implant Detachably Attached to a Distal End of the Elongated Catheter

A system including an elongated catheter and an implant. The elongated catheter includes a proximal end configured for operative coupling to an electrical supply module, a distal end with a first electrical connector and a first conducting wire to electrically couple the electrical supply module with the first electrical connector. The implant includes a proximal connecting hub configured to detachably mount to the distal end of the elongated catheter, a second electrical connector configured to mate with the first electrical connector, and an active module electrically coupled to the second electrical connector. The first electrical connector is rotatably mounted to the distal end of the elongated catheter and the second electrical connector is non-rotatably attached to the proximal connecting hub of the implant and the elongated catheter can detach from the implant without rotation of the first electrical connector relative to the second electrical connector.

PROJECTING MEMBER WITH BARB FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DEVICES

A medical implant including an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, the expandable framework comprising a plurality of interconnected struts defining a plurality of cells; and an occlusive element connected to the expandable framework and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The expandable framework may include a plurality of securement members projecting from the plurality of interconnected struts. One of the inner surface or the outer surface of the occlusive element may be in contact with the plurality of interconnected struts, and the other of the inner surface and the outer surface not in contact with the plurality of interconnected struts may lie against an opposing surface of each of the plurality of securement members. A tip portion of the plurality of securement members may not extend radially outward of the plurality of interconnected struts.

Medical device for septal crossing with trapping features

Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include an elongate shaft having a proximal end region and a distal end region. A first lumen may be defined in the shaft. A second lumen may be defined in the shaft. The distal end region may include a common lumen region in fluid communication with the first lumen and the second lumen. A deflectable member may be disposed within the shaft. The deflectable member may be designed to shift between a first configuration where the deflectable member directs a first medical device disposed within the common lumen region into the first lumen and a second configuration where the deflectable member allows a second medical device to move between the common lumen region and the second lumen.
