Each terminal has a connecting portion correspondingly located in a corresponding terminal hole, a conducting portion extending from the connecting portion, an elastic arm formed by bending upward and extending from the connecting portion upward out of the corresponding terminal hole, and a contact portion bending upward and extending from the elastic arm. When a chip module is pressed downward, a bottom surface of each conductive sheet of a circuit board downward abuts a top surface of the contact portion, and the elastic arm deforms downward. The contact portion, the elastic arm, the connecting portion and the conducting portion are integrally formed. A thickness of the connecting portion is greater than a thickness of the contact portion.

Multiple conductive terminals are respectively accommodated in the accommodating grooves. Each conductive terminal has a main body portion accommodated in a corresponding accommodating groove and an extending arm extending forward from an upper end of the main body portion. Each extending arm of the conductive terminals is used to be upward electrically connected to a corresponding contact pad. At least one supporting portion is provided on the insulating body and located at one side of a corresponding accommodating groove. A first guide portion protrudes and extends from a top end of the supporting portion to upward abut the chip module. A horizontal projection of the extending arm of at least one conductive terminal partially overlaps with a horizontal projection of the first guide portion.

Side-edge connector system providing electrical connection between devices in a manner which minimizes dedicated connection space

Described herein are devices, systems and methods for accessing devices, such as modules or printed circuit boards (PCBs), for electrical communications. Various connectors described herein utilize a side-edge surface of a device, such as a PCB, for connectivity in order to maximize the surface area on the PCB upon which electronic components can be mounted. Such connectors can be used to temporarily connect to devices (e.g., PCBs) for the purposes of debugging, testing and/or configuring circuitry, firmware and/or software. Each such connector utilizes the side-edge surface of a device along its thickness to provide connectivity, which is useful in many situations, including when the device (e.g., a PCB) is to be soldered as a part onto a larger board at a later point in time, or where multiple PCBs are stacked.

A differential transmission board set includes a mounting board on which a compression connector is mounted and a contact board configured to come into contact with the compression connector. In the contact board, a second conductor layer is a ground layer and has a penetrating hole. The penetrating hole is formed in such a way that a first signal pad and a second signal pad are both located inside an inner edge of the penetrating hole. In the contact board, the penetrating hole is formed to overlap an outer region of the first ground pad and an outer region of the second ground pad.

An electrical connector includes: an insulative housing defining an upper face and a lower face and having a plurality of passageways running though the upper and lower face; and a plurality of contacts secured in the plurality of passageways of the insulative housing. Each of the plurality of contacts includes a base part, an upper arm extending from the base part, and a first part and a second part bent from opposite sides of the base part, a first limb bent from the first part and a second limb bent from the second part plate body. The first limb and the second limb are located staggered in an upper and lower direction, thereby the base part, the first and second part and the first and second limbs together form a tubular structure.

Socket having solder balls

A socket includes a flat-plate-shaped housing, a plurality of contacts supported by the flat-plate-shaped housing, a frame attached to the flat-plate-shaped housing and extending along the flat-plate-shaped housing, a plurality of first solder balls disposed on a lower surface of the flat-plate-shaped housing and facing a circuit board, and a plurality of second solder balls disposed on the lower surface of the flat-plate-shaped housing. The frame defines, in an in-plane direction of the flat-plate-shaped housing, a position of an electronic component having a lower surface including a plurality of pads configured to contact the contacts upon the electronic component being mounted. The first solder balls electrically connect to each of the contacts and electrically connect to the circuit board. The second solder balls are not electrically connected to the contacts.
