JUNCTIONAL HEMORRHAGE OCCLUSION DEVICE
20230098316 · 2023-03-30 ·

A junctional hemorrhage control device includes a strap and a base operably connected to the strap. A strap carriage is operably connected to, and linearly translatable relative to, the base. A screw assembly is rotatably attached to the base. The screw assembly moves the strap carriage away from the base when the screw assembly is operated in one direction and towards the base when the screw assembly is operated in an opposite direction. A removable pressure plate is attached to the base to apply occlusion pressure to a hemorrhage location.

A non-pneumatic tourniquet includes a tourniquet body including a strip of resiliently elastic material. The tourniquet body includes a tourniquet section and a pair of handle sections on opposite ends of the tourniquet section. The tourniquet section defines at least two holes sized and shaped to receive a body part of a subject. The tourniquet section is configured to restrict blood flow to the body part when the body part is received in one of the holes in the tourniquet section.

Negative pressure wound closure devices and methods

Systems, devices, and methods of the present application can accelerate and reduce medical complications associated with healing of non-planar wounds such as amputation wounds. The devices and methods utilize a collapsing structure and negative pressure to cause the shaped wound to preferentially close. The structure can accommodate movement over curved tissue surfaces, which can utilize scales or interleaved elements to provide efficient wound closure along arcuate paths. This structure can enable gradual closure from the deepest portion of the wound to the shallowest portion.

Mobile application for wearable device

Featured are devices (e.g., peripheral devices) and systems that interact with a device having sensors (e.g., a wearable device or device configured for use with a piece of equipment, such as a vehicle) to receive and process data (e.g., physiological data) from the sensors. Also featured are computer implemented methods including software (e.g., an application) for receiving and processing data by the peripheral device. An application that communicates with the device (e.g., wearable device or equipment device) and sensor information processed by the application or a device running or accessing the application provides situational awareness for users in adverse conditions, such as during combat or wartime. The wearable device may include one or more inflatable bladders configured to apply pressure to a wound site for treatment.

Inflatable surgical compression device and related systems and methods

Inflatable compression devices are disclosed. In some embodiments the devices provide compression to the torso of a patient, including at a pocket configured to receive a pacing device. In some embodiments at least one securing strap is displaceable with respect to a compression member. In some embodiments a compression member is displaceable relative to at least one securing strap.

Quick Release Tourniquet Carrier

The present invention describes a carrier that encases a tactical tourniquet, attaches to the user or the user's gear, and allows a person to quickly access the tourniquet to stop or slow traumatic bleeding. One embodiment comprises an open top half and an open bottom half which connect to encase the tourniquet. Each of the top half and bottom half are removably connected and are held together with a compressive band. Tourniquet rip cords extend through the carrier and may be pulled by the user. To access the tourniquet, the user pulls the carrier from the compressive band by pulling a rip cord. The carrier halves immediately fall apart after they are free from the compressive band, leaving the tourniquet available for immediate use.

Disclosed are methods and devices for obtaining patent hemostasis of the radial artery by compressing the uninstrumented ulnar artery to increase radial artery flow. The device comprises a band having an inflatable bladder for applying blunt pressure to the ulnar artery. The method comprises applying a pressure to the homolateral ulnar artery and applying a pressure to the radial artery at the access site to obtain hemostasis at the access site.

Apparatus and method to stop bleeding

A hemostatic device is provided to stop bleeding at a puncture site on an artery of a patient, the device comprising a transparent flexible band to be wrapped at the site where the bleeding is to be stopped, a curved compression member having an inner peripheral side and possessing a first curved portion in its first half and a second curved portion in its second half, a first balloon provided on the inner peripheral side in the first half of the curved compression member and a second balloon provided on the inner peripheral side in the second half of the curved compression member. The bleeding from a first artery is stopped by compressing the first artery at the puncture site using inflation of the first balloon and blood flow in the first artery is increased by compression of a second artery using inflation of the second balloon.
