HEMOSTASIS DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
20220370080 · 2022-11-24 ·

A hemostasis device configured to apply a compressive force to a puncture site of a patient's vessel, such as an artery of the hand, wrist, or foot, is disclosed. The hemostasis device may comprise a plurality of bands used to position and maintain a compression member over the puncture site. The hemostasis device may also comprise an inflation port in fluid communication with an inflatable bladder.

TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY PROTECTION DEVICES

A collar sized to be worn around the neck of a human subject has at least one member that defines an arc of less than 360° and greater than 180° having a diameter, a first compressor at a first end of the arc, a second compressor at a second end of the arc and a bend angle sensor. The collar is adapted to exert an inwardly-directed force on the first and second compressors when worn. The bend angle sensor is configured and positioned to detect a bend angle of the collar, wherein the bend angle correlates to the inwardly-directed force on the first and second compressors when worn.

POINT-PRESSURE APPLICATION SYSTEM
20220054144 · 2022-02-24 ·

An apparatus for applying point-pressure to a wound site that helps occlude open blood vessels. The apparatus being comprised of a pressure applicator, a mounting plate, articulating strap attachment points, and counter-pressure cavities. The articulating strap attachment points attach to straps around a patient's body in such a manner that the apparatus is stabilized over a patient's wound. Moreover, the counter-pressure cavities permit a user to apply leverage caused by counter-force mechanism (while also applying a downward force on the pressure applicator). These features enable a user to quickly and easily apply point pressure to a wound site.

Tissue compression device with tension limiting strap retainer

Tissue compression devices having a tension limiting strap retainer and methods of using the same. The tissue compression devices described herein may include a strap retainer that is attached to a base by an elastic member that is configured to draw the strap retainer towards the base. The tissue compression devices described herein may also include a tension indicator that extends between the base of the tissue compression device and strap retainer. The tension indicator may be configured to limit the travel distance of the strap retainer away from the base in response to forces acting on the strap retainer. The tension indicator may also provide visual feedback to a user of the tension force in a strap to attach the tissue compression device to a patient.

Simplified field use junctional tourniquets

A junctional tourniquet apparatus and related methods of use. An exemplary tourniquet has an inverted cone shape, wherein a narrower end has a mushroom shaped base that is pressed against a compression target and a broader end has a plurality of pass-through slots for straps. Another exemplary tourniquet has a broad plate component and a handle component. The handle component has a mushroom shaped base on a first end and a handle on a second end. The handle component passes through the center of the plate component with threads that allow the handle component to compress a target by twisting the handle.

INFLATABLE RADIAL ARTERY COMPRESSION DEVICE WITH CINCHING WRISTBAND AND METHOD OF USE
20220047272 · 2022-02-17 ·

Radial artery compression devices are disclosed. Some embodiments comprise an inflatable chamber and a frame. Securement straps, including securement straps comprising a free end threaded through a portion of the frame are also disclosed. Systems and methods for securing and/or positioning a securement device with one hand are also disclosed.

RADIAL COMPRESSION BAND

A radial compression band employs a substantially rigid U-like cuff that fits over a patient's arm and then snaps onto a tightening band. A movable bubble member is positioned for movement along the band separate from the attachment to the patient and is inflatable to provide pressure to an incision or the like to accomplish hemostasis.

TOURNIQUET DEVICE

The tourniquet device includes a pressure plate, a winding rod, a control rod, a dial, a locking rod, and a strap. The winding rod and has a ratchet at one end. A ratchet is provided around a bottom end of the control rod engaging the ratchet of the winding rod. The dial is fixedly joined to the control rod, and locking holes are provided on the bottom side of the dial. The locking rod is for locking the dial. The strap has a first end fixedly connected to a buckle and a second end threaded through the slits of the pressure plate and then through the buckle and back. A fastener patch is attached to the strap, and a tightening band has a first end fixedly joined to the strap between the buckle and the fastener patch and a second end is threaded through the slit of the winding rod.

HEAD TRAUMA BANDAGE CAP AND METHOD

An emergency hemostatic head trauma bandage cap with a strap system and method of use, which, when applied to the head, delivers minimal pressure to control bleeding, doesn't compromise cervical spine immobilization, allows for fast and effective application of cooling gel to control intracranial/internal swelling or hot packs to prevent hypothermia in non-trauma situations, doesn't come apart during treatment and transport, and doesn't require a caregiver to re-wrap the dressing.

Radial artery compression device

A radial artery compression device configured to be secured to a wrist or other portion of a patient to provide adjustable and consistent compression pressure in the area of a radial artery access site or other physiological portion of a patient to achieve hemostasis either during or after a medical procedure such as a percutaneous coronary procedure. The radial artery compression device includes a rotatable member and a compression pad adapted such that rotation of the rotatable member does not affect the rotational orientation of the compression pad. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a single rotation of the rotatable member results in complete extension or retraction of the radial artery compression device. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the rotation of the rotatable member results in a compounding of the extension or retraction of the compression pad relative to the body of the radial artery compression device.
