Power module
A power module (100) arranged to receive an input voltage and to deliver an output voltage, comprising a supporting layer (110) with first and second main surfaces (111, 109) and a rim (122) surrounding the main surfaces. The power module (100) also comprises at least one component (112, 113, 114, 115) on or in the supporting layer (110) which protrudes a first perpendicular distance (d.sub.1) from one of the main surfaces. The power module (100) additionally comprises connectors (116-119; 120-123) for attaching the power module (100) to an external component (10). The one or more connectors (116-119; 120-123) protrude a second distance (d.sub.2) from said rim (122) in a perpendicular direction from one of the main surfaces (111, 109), so that the at least one component is at a predefined distance (d.sub.4, d.sub.5) from the external component (10) when the power module is attached to the external component (10).
ELECTRONIC COMPONENT HAVING A CONNECTION ELEMENT
The invention relates to an electronic component. The electronic component 2 has an electrical assembly 3 having two electrical connections 4, 5 that are each formed on opposing faces of the assembly. For each connection 4, 5, the component has at least one electrically conductive connection element 9, 10 having a mounting foot 14, 15 for connection to a circuit carrier 22. According to the invention, the connection element 8, 9 has at least two metal layers 10, 11, 12, 13 at least on one section, wherein the metal layers are each formed from different metals and integrally connected to one another. Preferably, one metal layer 12, 13 from the metal layers has greater thermal conductivity than the other metal layer 10, 11.
Semiconductor apparatus
A semiconductor apparatus includes a metal body in which a through hole is formed, a socket that covers the metal body without closing the through hole, a connection terminal connected to the metal body and exposed to an outside of the socket, a control board having a metal pattern and a circuit pattern, and a semiconductor chip having a control terminal connected to the circuit pattern via the through hole without being in contact with the metal body, the connection terminal being connected to the metal pattern.
Electronic device and electrically insulating member therefor
An electronic device includes a circuit board, an electronic component, and an insulating member. The electronic component includes: a component main body that faces the circuit board; and a first lead terminal that is connected to the circuit board. The insulating member includes a base portion, a mounting portion, and an insulating wall. The mounting portion is disposed on the base portion, and is mounted to the circuit board. The insulating wall protrudes from the base portion, and is disposed between the first lead terminal and a conductive member that is positioned so as to be adjacent to the first lead terminal.
Electrical component and a method for producing an electrical component
An electrical component having partial bodies, a base on which the partial bodies are arranged, and at least one connection contact for electrically connecting the partial bodies to a carrier. A method for producing an electrical component having one or more partial bodies is also disclosed.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION
A packaged electronic device includes a package structure with opposite first and second sides spaced apart from one another along a first direction, and opposite third and fourth sides spaced apart from one another along a second direction, as well as first and second leads. The first lead includes a first portion that extends outward from the third side of the package structure and extends downward toward a plane of the first side and away from a plane of the second side. The second lead includes a first portion that extends outward from the third side of the package structure, and the second lead extends upward toward the plane of the second side and away from the plane of the first side to allow connection to another circuit or component, such as a second packaged electronic device, a passive circuit component, a printed circuit board, etc.
A BUS BAR SYSTEM
A bus-bar system 100 includes at least one bus-bar terminal 10. Each Bus-bar terminal 10 includes a first portion 10a, a second portion 10b and an intermediate portion 10c. The first portion 10a is connected to a heating element 20 of a heating block 22. The second portion 10b is connected to a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) 30 held within a casing 32 and the intermediate portion 10c connects the first portion 10a to the second portion 10b. The first portion 10a and the second portion 10b are offset from each other and the offset is based on desired position and orientation of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) 30 held inside the casing 32 with respect to the heating elements 20.
Circuit carrier arrangement and method for producing such a circuit carrier arrangement
A circuit carrier arrangement includes: a cooling plate (1) which has spacer and fastening elements (3) for connection to a printed circuit board (2) in a spaced-apart manner; a printed circuit board (2) which has bores (4) for receiving spring element sleeves (9); at least one power semiconductor component (10) which is connected by a soldered connection to the printed circuit board (2) and fastening elements (3) in the state in which it is fitted with the cooling plate (1) by means of plug-in connections (11) of spring-action configuration; and at least one spring element (5) having at least two spring element sleeves (9) between which a web (6) that is connected to the spring element sleeves (9) extends, and supporting elements (7) arranged on either side of said web and at least one spring plate (8) being arranged on said web.
CIRCUIT STRUCTURE
A circuit structure includes a first busbar, a wiring board located on the first busbar and having an open hole, a conductive raised part protruding into the open hole from the first busbar, and a first electronic component having a first connection terminal located on the wiring board. The first connection terminal is electrically connected to the raised part in the open hole.
TRANSFER MOLDED POWER MODULES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
In a general aspect, an electronic device assembly includes a substrate arranged in a plane. The substrate has a first side and a second side, the second side being opposite the first side. The assembly also includes a plurality of semiconductor die disposed on the first side of the substrate and at least one signal pin. The at least one signal pin includes a proximal end portion coupled with the first side of the substrate, a distal end portion, and a medial portion disposed between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion. The medial portion is pre-molded in a molding compound, the proximal end portion and the distal end portion exclude the molding compound. The at least one signal pin is arranged along a longitudinal axis that is orthogonal to the plane of the substrate.
