CONNECTOR WITH TOLERANCE MODULE
A connector with a tolerance module includes a socket and a plug adapted to the socket, wherein the socket includes a first housing, the plug includes a tolerance module and a third housing, the tolerance module includes a second housing, the second housing includes second contact members, the second housing is movably arranged on the third housing in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the connector, and the second contact members are floatingly assembled in the second housing to enable displacement in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the connector. The second housing only generates translational motion without displacement when the connector is inserted. The tolerance of the plug and the socket is realized by the floating assembly of the second contact members in the second housing.
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY WITH THERMAL FUSE, AN ELECTRIC MOTOR AND A DRIVE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An electronic assembly contains a circuit board having a current-conducting current path with two mutually spaced-apart current path ends that form an interruption point and a contact clip bridging the interruption point. The contact clip is manufactured without a preload, as a thermal fuse. The contact clip has a multiple bent, open clip loop and a contact limb making contact with both mutually spaced-apart current path ends using solder. The contact clip further has a fixing limb with a limb end seated in a circuit board opening. The limb end of the fixing limb is oversized relative to a circuit board opening, and a deformation being imparted to the contact clip, with an internal preload being generated.
PRESS-IN PIN FOR AN ELECTRICAL CONTACTING ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a press-in pin (10) for an electrical contacting assembly (1), having an elastic press-in region (12) and an electrically conductive coating (14). The invention further relates to a corresponding contacting assembly (1), and to a method for joining a press-in pin (10) and a metallized via (7). The coating (14) comprises a reactive multi-layer applied to the press-in pin (10) and a first contact layer applied to the reactive multi-layer.

Compliant pin with self sensing deformation
A compliant pin system includes a pin having a compliant section including a first leg and an opposing second leg. A first plurality of contact members extend along the first leg. A second plurality of contact members extend along the second leg. A pin validation system is operatively connected to the first plurality of contact members and the second plurality of contact members. The pin validation system detects a presence of an electrical signal passing between corresponding pairs of the first plurality of contact members and the second plurality of contact members to determine an integrity of the compliant pin.
Efficient placement of grid array components
An interposer comprises a metal-plated via that spans the depth of a printed circuit board. The interposer also comprises a metal plug inserted into a first end of the metal-plated via. The metal plug is attached to the metal-plated via. The metal plug may take the form of a solid plug or a sintered via plug. The interposer also comprises a solder ball soldered to the metal plug.
Control unit having press-fit structure
In a control unit including a press-fit terminal, a substrate includes: a connected portion into which the press-fit terminal is connected; and a guide member, which surrounds a periphery of the connected portion and extends from the substrate. The press-fit terminal includes: a connecting portion formed on a tip end side of the press-fit terminal; and an enlarged portion formed adjacent to the connecting portion. The guide member includes: an opening portion, which opens in a direction in which the press-fit terminal is positioned; a guide hole extending from the opening portion to the substrate; and a reduced-hole portion formed adjacent to the opening portion. The guide hole is configured such that, when the connecting portion of the press-fit terminal is connected to the connected portion of the substrate, the enlarged portion of the press-fit terminal closes the reduced-hole portion of the guide hole.
Electrical Apparatus
An electrical apparatus includes an electrical connector having a plurality of terminals and a connector housing retaining the terminals, a case containing the electrical connector, a circuit board electrically connected with the terminals, and an entrapping structure corresponding to at least a portion of a gap between the connector housing and the case. The entrapping structure has a dead end with an opening facing the gap.
Electrical contact having bulged retention section with a plurality of through holes therein
An electrical contact includes a compliant tail defining a pair of opposite first main face and second main face, and a pair of opposite first side face and second side face linked between the first main face and the second main face. The opposite first side face and second side face are bulged for engagement with an interior surface of the corresponding through hole. A pair of first through holes and a pair of second through holes extend through both the first main face and the second main face. The first through holes are configured with an elongated configuration while the second though holes are located around two opposite upper and lower ends of the first through holes.
