JOINT SPACER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method of preparing a tarsometatarsal joint can include imaging a tarsometatarsal joint of a patient between a metatarsal and a cuneiform to determine a size and/or angle of a wedge-shaped bone portion to be cut at the tarsometatarsal joint. The method can include obtaining a bone preparation guide that includes a first guide surface positionable over the metatarsal and a second guide surface positionable over the cuneiform, where an angle of the first guide surface relative to the second guide surface is selected corresponding to the size and/or angle of the wedge-shaped bone portion to be cut as determined via imaging of the tarsometatarsal joint. The method can include positioning the guide surfaces over the metatarsal and cuneiform and guiding a tissue removing instrument with the guide surfaces to cut an end of the metatarsal and to cut an end of the cuneiform.
Bone positioning and preparing guide systems and methods
Methods for temporarily fixing an orientation of a bone or bones. Methods of correcting a bunion deformity. Bone positioning devices. Methods of using a bone positioning device. Bone preparation guides. Methods of using a bone preparation guide.
Bone positioning guide
A bone positioning guide may be used as part of a bunion correction procedure. The bone positioning guide can include a bone engagement member configured to be positioned on a medial side of a first metatarsal of a foot and a tip separated from the bone engagement member by a distance effective to position the tip on a lateral side of a second metatarsal and in an intermetatarsal space between the second metatarsal and a third metatarsal. The bone positioning guide can also include a mechanism operable to reduce the distance between the bone engagement member and the tip, thereby causing the first metatarsal to move in at least a transverse plane to reduce an intermetatarsal angle between the first metatarsal and the second metatarsal.
IMPROVED AND CASS ASSISTED OSTEOTOMIES
Systems and methods for performing an osteotomy with robotic assistance are disclosed. The disclosed systems and methods includes receiving a three-dimensional model of a patient bone, receiving a surgical plan, determining, based on the three-dimensional model and the surgical plan, one or more corrective cuts to be made to the patient bone, and performing, using a tracked end effector interfaced to a robotic arm, the one or more corrective cuts. A surgeon may utilize software, tracking, robotics, and the like to plan and execute bone resection in complex and/or intricate shapes not previously possible.
TIBIAL OSTEOTOMY SYSTEM, INSTRUMENTS, AND RELATED METHODS
The present disclosure relates to a tibial osteotomy system. The system includes a base plate configured to interface with the tibia which includes a body with a first pair of apertures configured to receive a first pair of stabilization elements, a first end with a first aperture, and a second end with a second aperture. The system also includes a measuring arm coupled with the first end of the base plate via the first aperture and having a third aperture aligned with the first aperture to receive a first screw, and a cut guide pivotably coupled with the second end of the base plate via the second aperture and having a fourth aperture aligned with the second aperture to receive a second screw therein. The cut guide also has a slot, a measurement flag releasably couplable within the slot, and a protrusion configured to receive a second stabilization element.
Joint spacer systems and methods
In some examples, a method for preparing one or more bones involves inserting a spacer into a space defined between a first bone and a second bone, such as a joint space between a first metatarsal and medial cuneiform. A bone preparation guide can be aligned with opposed ends of the first bone and the second bone using the spacer as an alignment reference. For example, the bone preparation guide may include an opening such that the guide can be installed across the joint space with the spacer received in the opening. A clinician may use the bone preparation guide to guide a tissue removing instrument to cut or otherwise prepare the ends of the first bone portion and second bone portion.
Tibial tubercule osteotomy
Patient-specific guides for a tibial tubercle osteotomy are provided. The guides include a guide body defining a portion with a bone-engaging surface that conforms as a negative surface to a corresponding surface of a specific patient's tibia, and a guide portion that guides a surgical instrument to a specific location on the specific patient's tibia, wherein the bone-engaging surface and guide portion are configured during a pre-operative planning stage. Methods for performing a tibial tubercle osteotomy with the patient-specific guides are also provided.
Small joint fusion plate and cutting block
A method and one or more devices for a capitolunate fusion includes a cutting block for attaching to the capitate bone and for cutting the capitate and lunate bones to fit a corresponding plate. The cutting block is removed and a fusion plate is fixed to the capitate and lunate bone with the plate having a capitate section and a lunate section with the capitate section and lunate section of the plate in a generally perpendicular arrangement to allow optimal fusion of the capitate and lunate bones. Further devices include a three and four bone fusion cutting block and fusion plate.
BONE SLIVER REMOVAL SYSTEM
A surgical tool and related methods are provided for removal of a bone sliver from a resected joint. The tool can include a housing including an upper end, a lower end, and a channel extending from the upper end to the lower end. A paddle member extends from the lower end of the housing. The paddle member includes a paddle shaft and a paddle head. The surgical tool further includes an insertion member that has a handle end, an extension that extends from the handle end, and a cutting tip. The extension is translatable within the channel such that the handle end and the cutting tip can move relative to the housing between a retracted position and an advanced position.
Osteotomy guide plate and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses an osteotomy guide plate and a preparation method thereof. The osteotomy guide plate comprises a substrate, an osteotomy guide standardized part, a guide plate retention hole, a nail hole and a drainage channel; wherein the guide plate retention hole is distributed on the surface of the substrate; the outer end side of the nail hole is integrally formed with a standardized sleeve, and a detachably connected protective inner sleeve standardized part is provided within the standardized sleeve. The preparation method comprises parameter design and model printing, wherein an innovative nail hole positioning method is used in the parameter design. The invention is suitable for the osteotomy operation of different parts, with the advantages of convenient production, high precision and long service life; the preparation method improves the accuracy of opening a hole on the osteotomy guide plate.
