Patient-specific femoral version guide
An orthopedic device includes a monolithic patient-specific guide. The patient-specific guide includes a three-dimensional contact surface preoperatively configured from medical scans of a specific patient as a negative surface of a medial portion of a proximal femoral bone of the patient according to a preoperative surgical plan for the patient. The guide also includes a proximal planar surface configured for guiding a resection of a femoral neck of the patient, and a scale formed on the planar surface. The scale is configured for indicating a preoperatively planned femoral version of a femoral stem implant and deviations therefrom.
HIGH TIBIAL OSTEOTOMY EXTERNAL FIXATOR
The invention is related with an external fixator that is used in High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO) surgeries, including at least one positioner (1) for gripping the leg from both sides, at least one angulation device (3) and a proximal arch (8) that is connected to the positioner (1), at least one proximal schanz holder (7) on the proximal arch (8), at least one distal schanz holder (4) at the bottom of the angulation device (3), at least one osteotomy block (5) that enables to set the size and the location of the incision on the proximal arch (8), at least one fibular head positioning device (2) that is connected to the angulation device (3) and at least one angular indicator (scale) (19) on the fixator, on which the correction can be adjusted and controlled.
OSTEOTOMY METHOD AND DEVICE
The present invention provides a method for compressing a bone hinge created during surgery to re-align a bone in a subject. The invention further provides a device suitable for use in the method and a surgical package comprising the device.
GUIDE MODULE HAVING OBLIQUE INSTALLATION PINS
The present invention relates to a guide module having oblique installation pins, the guide module including: a first installation pin unit penetratively inserted into one side of an aligned bone; a second installation pin unit penetratively inserted into the other side of the aligned bone; a reposition guide unit simultaneously penetrated by the first installation pin unit and the second installation pin unit and being simultaneously in contact with one side of the aligned bone and the other side of the aligned bone; and a compression guide unit disposed adjacent to the reposition guide unit and simultaneously penetrated by the first installation pin unit and the second installation pin unit, in which imaginary central axes of holes of the reposition guide unit penetrated by the first installation pin unit and the second installation pin unit are spaced apart, at a predetermined interval in a vertical direction, from imaginary central axes of holes of the compression guide unit. Therefore, the aligned bone may be compressed.
Techniques for performing an osteotomy procedure on bone to correct a bone misalignment
Devices and techniques for adjusting an alignment for a first metatarsal may include making a plurality of cuts along the length of the first metatarsal. In different applications of the technique, a plurality of transverse cuts may or may not be made intersecting the longitudinal cuts. In either case, the cuts can separate the first metatarsal into two individual portions and release a removable wedge of bone. The different portions of the metatarsal can be moved relative to each other to adjust an anatomical alignment of one portion relative to another portion, for example in multiple planes. After suitably adjusting the alignment of the different bone portions, the portions can be fixed together.
Cutting guide for periacetabular osteotomy and kit for periacetabular osteotomy
A cutting guide for periacetabular osteotomy comprises at least one first main body having a longitudinal opening for the insertion of a cutting instrument, extending from a first end to a second end of the first main body and at least two positioning and fixing arms extending away from the first main body from opposite sides with respect to the longitudinal opening, in order to correctly position the first main body on a bone and fix it thereto through respective fastening members.
Bone plating kit for foot and ankle applications
A bone plate kit may be provided for a foot or ankle orthopedic procedure, such as a lapidus procedure. In some examples, the bone plate kit includes a sterile container that holds multiple unicortical bone plate fasteners and one or more bone plates. For example, the kit may contain two bone plates configured to be used together during a tarsal-metatarsal fusion procedure. Each of the two bone plates may be configured to span different regions of a tarsal-metatarsal joint. The unicortical bone plate fasteners can be used to secure the two bone plates to the first metatarsal and medial cuneiform of a patient undergoing a procedure. In some configurations, one of the bone plates is a helical bone plate while the other bone plate may or may not be a helical bone plate.
OSTEOTOMY CUTTING SYSTEMS AND SURGICAL TECHNIQUES
Osteotomy cutting systems and surgical methods are provided herein. One surgical method includes coupling, to a cuneiform of a subject, a surgical apparatus for use in facilitating correction of a bunion and coupling the surgical apparatus to another bone of the subject. Another surgical method includes coupling a surgical apparatus to a cuneiform and metatarsal of a subject, coupling a cutting block for alignment at a joint between the cuneiform and the metatarsal, and performing a surgical procedure utilizing the surgical apparatus and the cutting block to correct a bunion. A further surgical method includes providing a surgical apparatus for use in facilitating correction of a bunion in a subject in which the surgical apparatus is configured to couple to a cuneiform and a metatarsal of the subject and performing a surgical procedure utilizing the surgical apparatus while the surgical apparatus is coupled to the cuneiform and the metatarsal.
Osteotomy surgical apparatus
An osteotomy surgical apparatus according to the present invention includes a bone cutting blade used for cutting bone tissue and a guard disposed so as to overlap the bone cutting blade in a side view of the bone cutting blade. A distal end of the guard is disposed at a position retracted rearward relative to a blade edge of the bone cutting blade.
BONE POSITIONING AND PREPARING GUIDE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods for temporarily fixing an orientation of a bone or bones. Methods of correcting a bunion deformity. Bone positioning devices. Methods of using a bone positioning device. Bone preparation guides. Methods of using a bone preparation guide.
