ORTHOGNATHIC IMPLANT AND METHODS OF USE
An implant for use in orthognathic surgery of a mandible may include a longitudinal plate member and a plurality of pre-configured guides coupled to the plate member. The longitudinal plate member is pre-bent to correspond to the post-operative shape of the mandible; and the guides are pre-configured to align the plate member with the mandible when the implant is positioned against the mandible after the mandible has been separated.
Implant set device for sinus membrane elevation
An implant set device for sinus membrane elevation is provided. Herein, implant set device for sinus membrane elevation includes an initial drill group for an alveolar bone including a multiplicity of initial drills for an alveolar bone, a dilatation drill group for an alveolar bone including a multiplicity of dilatation drills for an alveolar bone, a sinus drill group including a multiplicity of sinus drills, a final drill group including first final drills, and a receiver having a drill region where the drills can be received in a first direction with the effective length increasing in each drill group and the drills can be received in a second direction in which drills of each drill group belonging to the drill group for surgery are arranged in a surgical procedure of the sinus membrane elevation.
Bone anchor with a drilling template connecting to this bone anchor and method for manufacturing the bone anchor and the drilling template
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing at least one bone anchor and a corresponding drilling template, wherein the bone anchor has an anchor plate which is to be fixed to the surface of a bone by means of one or several screws having a screw head. The anchor plate thus has a bone side which is to connect to the surface of the bone and a free side which is opposite to said bone side. Further, the invention concerns a method for manufacturing a drilling template making it possible to make bore holes in the bone at predetermined positions and to screw the bone anchor to said bone according to predetermined orientations.
METHOD FOR TREATING A PATIENT WITH A TOOTH VACANCY
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
Customizable surgical bone-cutting jigsaw puzzle-type guide device and customizable surgical bone-cutting guide-traction-suction device
Provided is a customizable surgical bone-cutting jigsaw puzzle-type guide device. The customizable surgical bone-cutting jigsaw puzzle-type guide device includes: a main guide portion that includes a main contact surface lengthily formed along a required main incision line of a bone to be cut and shaped to be brought into contact with the bone, and a main guide surface forming a guide line together with the main contact surface along the same line as the main incision line and shaped to be brought into contact with a cutting blade for guiding the movement of the cutting blade during cutting of the bone; and a connection portion extending from the main guide portion and connected to a side of the bone such that the main guide portion may be supported on the bone, the connection portion being configured to be detachably attached to the side of the bone.
DRILL JIG FOR AN ORAL SURGERY INTERVENTION
The invention relates to a drill jig (1) for an oral surgery intervention in a patient, said drill jig (1) having a temporary dental device (5) in which a drill guide (3) for guiding a drill in the jaw of the patient is provided, and at least one holding element (4), connected to the temporary dental device (5), for temporarily fastening the drill jig (1) to the set of teeth (2) of the patient.
Bone bed drilling template
A method and device for ensuring better placement of an implant, such as an implant that is affixed via bone bed drilling to a recipient's skull. In particular, the technology comprises an apparatus and method of deploying the same that can lead to an improved goodness of fit of the implant. The apparatus and process of the present disclosure are particularly applicable to affixing auditory prostheses such as cochlear implants. The implant is provided with a template that has the same dimensions as the implant that is to be affixed. This template has a dye-impregnated material on its distal surface that is used during bone bed drilling to identify bony spots that have to be drilled away to get a flat surface and a better alignment of the implant with the bone bed. The template may also be provided in kit form.
Implant for reinforcing a bone, comprising a bore vector specifying hole and surrounding plate for a jaw replacement, and implant production method
The invention relates to an implant for attaching to a bone, having bone support surfaces or bone formfitting sections which are inclined relative to each other in order to rest on the surface of the bone. Two bone formfitting sections are aligned relative to each other in a sub-region of the implant such that surrounding the bone in the sub-region secures the position of the implant. The invention also relates to a method for producing an implant according to the invention.
Dental operation-guiding structure and method for producing the same
A dental operation-guiding structure includes a bite plate, a marking plate, and at least one connection frame connecting the bite plate and the marking plate. The bite plate is occluded by lower and upper teeth of a human body. The marking plate includes a plate body and at least one window penetrating the plate body. The plate body is adjacent to a tissue surface, and the windows defines a position to be operated. By occluding the dental operation-guiding structure, practical positions, patterns and ranges for the operation can be easily defined. The method for producing the dental operation-guiding structure overlaps a 3D bone image of a target object onto a 3D teeth-mold image thereof to obtain a reconstructed 3D image including clear contours of bones and soft tissues, bases on the reconstructed 3D image to design the dental operation-guiding structure, and finally produces the dental operation-guiding structure by 3D printing.
BONE AUGMENTATION PIECE AND KIT CONSISTING OF A BONE AUGMENTATION PIECE WITH AN INSERTED (DENTAL) IMPLANT
The invention relates to a bone augmentation piece (1) for filling out a defective area (2) in a bone (3), comprising a main part (5) which is designed to be inserted into said defective area (2) without a gap, wherein the main part (5) comprises a truss-type structure made of webs (6) and cavities (7). The invention also relates to a kit consisting of a bone augmentation piece (1) of this type, comprising an implant inserted thereinto, such as a dental implant. The invention also relates to the use of the claimed bone augmentation piece (1) as a drill jig (18).
