Devices and methods for performing a surgical step or surgical procedure with visual guidance using an optical head mounted display are disclosed.

Glenoidal implant for shoulder prosthesis

A glenoidal implant for a shoulder prosthesis includes an articular body having two opposite faces which are an articulation face suitable for cooperating with an articulation head of a humeral implant, and an anchoring face from which at least one anchoring stud protrudes for an anchoring in the glenoid cavity including a main anchoring stud at least partially covered with a porous or rough surface coating promoting an osseointegration. The main anchoring stud is provided internally with a central hole extending along a central axis of symmetry of the main anchoring stud and provided to allow guiding a trephine.

Method and system for preparing bone for receiving an implant

A method of performing arthroplasty of an anatomical joint for receipt of an implant is disclosed. The method includes developing a preoperative plan, designing a patient specific guide based on the preoperative plan, obtaining the patient specific guide, placing the patient specific guide relative to the identified bone, fixing a pair of pins into the bone to establish an Alpha plane and executing the preoperative plan while referencing the Alpha plane. A desired amount of remaining first bone is determined based on a condition of the anatomical joint and a desired orientation of the implant. The patient specific guide includes a pair of bores defined therein and located in positions to accept a complementary pair of pins. The bores are arranged at locations on the patient specific guide to orient the respective pins in a direction optimized for surgeon access to the first bone and to establish the Alpha plane.

HUMERAL AND GLENOID ARTICULAR SURFACE IMPLANT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a humeral implant. The humeral implant includes a tray including a body defining a bone facing recess and a liner recess, said bone facing recess including a ring surface and a convex surface, wherein the ring surface has a profile substantially corresponding to a profile of an outer ring of bone in an excision site of a patient; and wherein said convex surface has a profile substantially corresponding to a profile of a concave socket formed in the excision site. The humeral implant also includes a liner including a body defining a load bearing surface and a tray interface surface, said tray interface surface being configured to be at least partially received in said liner recess of said tray such that said implant is coupled to said tray.

GLENOID IMPLANT SURGERY USING PATIENT SPECIFIC INSTRUMENTATION

A pin placement instrument for placing a pin in a bone comprises an anatomical interface with a hook-like portion being opened in a lateral direction of the instrument to receive a bone therein in a planned position. A drill guide is connected to the anatomical interface and defining at least one guide slot in a longitudinal direction of the instrument. The guide slot has a lateral opening over its full length in the drill guide to allow lateral withdrawal of the instrument in said lateral direction with the pin placed in the bone passing through the lateral opening. A bushing is removably placed in said guide slot via said longitudinal direction in a planned fit, the bushing defining a throughbore aligned with the guide slot and adapted to receive the pin extending in said longitudinal direction when the bushing is in the guide slot for pin placement.

GLENOID POSITIONING DEVICE

A glenoid positioning device (100), in particular for a Kirschner wire, comprising: a hub (101) with a reference through-hole (110) and comprising three housings (102a, 102b, 102c) arranged radially; three slide elements (103a, 103b, 103c) slidably housed within the three housings (102a, 102b, 102c), respectively, and configured to interact with a glenoid cavity; wherein the three slide elements (103a, 103b, 103c) are configured to be radially extended or retracted to identify a circular area (2) of a glenoid cavity.

Humeral implant anchor system

A stemless humeral shoulder assembly having a base member and an anchor advanceable into the base member. The base member can include a distal end that can be embedded in bone and a proximal end that can be disposed at a bone surface. The base member can also have a plurality of spaced apart arms projecting from the proximal end to the distal end. The anchor can project circumferentially into the arms and into a space between the arms. When the anchor is advanced into the base member, the anchor can be exposed between the arms. A recess can project distally from a proximal end of the anchor to within the base member. The recess can receive a mounting member of an anatomical or reverse joint interface.

PATIENT-SPECIFIC GUIDES FOR LATARJET PROCEDURE
20230063081 · 2023-03-02 ·

Patient-specific guides for the Latarjet procedure, as well as surgical systems and methods of performing the Latarjet procedure to treat glenohumeral instability using such patient-specific guides are disclosed. A patient-specific coracoid guide and a patient-specific glenoid guide may be configured based on preoperatively generated three-dimensional models of the patient's shoulder anatomy. Guides may be configured for coracoid graft preparation and glenoid decortication. The coracoid graft may be placed in the desired position based on three-dimensional (3D) preoperative planning.

DEVICE ADAPTED FOR LATERAL ENGAGEMENT OF AN ELONGATED MEMBER
20230157707 · 2023-05-25 · ·

A device for accessing extra articular lesions or abnormalities or intra osseous lesions or abnormalities or bone marrow lesions using intra articular localization has a guide, a locating arm, a set of attachment assemblies and a tubular sleeve. The device comprises a device body and an attachment assembly mounted on the device body. The attachment assembly includes a main body and at least one closure body. The main body has an elongated recess therein. The elongated recess is configured for receiving an elongated member therein along an entire length thereof. The at least one closure body is rotatably mounted on the main body. The elongated member may be positioned within the elongated recess via lateral movement when the at least one closure body is in a first rotational position relative to the main body. The elongated member may be retained within the elongated recess when the at least one closure body is moved away from the first rotational position toward a second rotational position relative to the main body.
