A dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) tool (10) includes a perforating shaft (30) having a distal perforating tip (32) configured to form a bypass between a lacrimal sac and a nasal cavity through a lateral side of the lacrimal sac, a lacrimal bone, and nasal mucosa. A DCR guide (20) includes a nasal guide component (40) configured to be inserted into the nasal cavity and having a distal guide tip (42); and a lacrimal guide component (50) shaped so as to define a guide channel (52) that orients the DCR guide (20) with respect to the distal perforating tip (32) during advancing of the distal perforating tip (32) through a lacrimal passageway and into the lacrimal sac, until contact of the distal perforating tip (32) with the distal guide tip (42) blocks further advancing of the distal perforating tip (32). The DCR guide (20) constrains the distal guide tip (42) to fall in a path of advancement of the distal perforating tip (32). Other embodiments are also described.

Patient-specific systems and methods are provided for assisting in medical procedures, and can include producing patient-specific devices from computer models of a patient's anatomy, including a first patient-specific device configured to identify and allow access to a resection area in an operation location for a medical procedure; a second patient-specific device configured to refine the procedure, following use of the first patient-specific device and in some embodiments, to identify and allow access to installation locations for an implant and/or surgical hardware; and/or a third patient specific device configured to assist in confirming placement of the implant and/or surgical hardware and refining the procedure, following use of the first and second patient-specific devices. Each of these devices may be developed from patient-specific computer model data via patient-specific image data and may enhance a variety of procedures.

An attainment with an osteotomy surgical instrument for the nasal osteotomy is described; it is set up of at least a couple of lever arms and a couple of sharp spouts that are mutually hinged at least in a rotation fulcrum, where said sharp spouts show an active portion with the cross sectional having a sharp angle, in which the sharp angles of the two sharp spouts are opposed and said active portion extends for a length greater than 30 mm and shorter than 45 mm.

Single handed ENT tool

A tool, consisting of an enclosure and a rotatable knob retained by, and protruding from, the enclosure. The tool has a tube having a proximal end that is retained by the enclosure, and the tube has an axis of symmetry. A Geneva drive is retained within the enclosure, the Geneva drive consisting of a drive wheel fixedly attached to the rotatable knob and a driven wheel fixedly attached to the proximal end of the tube, so that an axis of rotation of the driven wheel coincides with the axis of symmetry of the tube. Thus, a continuous rotation of the rotatable knob causes the tube to rotate about the axis of symmetry in discrete angular steps.
