Complex coil with mesh cap
The present invention teaches the use of a disc shaped mesh intrasaccular occlusion structure with at least one coil arm, with optional supplemental hydrogel, which is designed to implement an endovascular treatment to facilitate saccular aneurysm treatment while ameliorating or eliminating aneurysm recurrence.
Septotomy catheter for aortic dissection
Medical methods and devices for treating aortic dissections. A catheter-based cutting device permits cutting a septum of acute or chronic aortic dissections, in a retrograde manner. The catheter includes a base section having a central lumen therethrough and two flexible arms extending from a distal end thereof. The flexible arms can each have a guide wire channel therethrough. With distal ends of the two flexible arms separated, the two arms form a Y-shape with the base section. In one embodiment, with distal ends of the two flexible arms together, the two arms have a longitudinal profile, about a periphery thereof, identical to a longitudinal profile of the base section. A cutting component resides between the two arms. The cutting component can face distally outward between the two arms with the distal ends of the two flexible arms separated.
Closing openings in anatomical tissue
A device for closing at least one opening leading to an anatomical cavity is delivered via a catheter positioned in a first opening leading to the anatomical cavity. An orientation control unit is positioned within the anatomical cavity. The orientation control unit defines an orientation of a portion of a tissue surface within the anatomical cavity that is skewed with respect to the first opening and orients a closure member of the device with the tissue surface. An occluding member and a constricting unit of the device are positioned within the anatomical cavity with the occluding member blocking a portion of an opening that is constricted by the constricting unit. An intermediate member of the device is positioned within the anatomical cavity and a closure unit employing at least one piercing element pierces through the intermediate member into a tissue wall surrounding the anatomical cavity.
STONE RETRIEVAL BALLOON CATHETER
A device for removing a urinary tract stone from a ureter may include an outer shaft, an inner shaft extending coaxially within the outer shaft, a self-expanding wire basket attached to a basket shaft extending coaxially within the inner shaft, an inflatable balloon and a handle. The balloon main include a rounded distal tip. The handle may include an inversion slider coupled to the inner shaft and configured to actuate the inner shaft, thereby inverting the distal tip of the inflatable balloon to form a pocket adapted to receive a urinary tract stone. The handle may also include a basket slider coupled to the basket shaft and configured to actuate the basket shaft to move the wire basket in and out of the inner shaft.
Device and method for removing material from a hollow anatomical structure
A medical device for removing a material from a hollow anatomical structure is provided. The device may include a shaft member. The device may include an expandable centering element near the distal end of the device. The device may include a macerator element either attached to the shaft or independent and freely moveable from the shaft. Alternatively, the device may include a rotating wire attached to the macerator element. The device may include an aspiration lumen in for removal of material. The device may include a drive shaft attached to a motor and used to rotate the macerator element. The device may be used in combination with a distal occlusion element, which may he either a radially expandable filter or balloon member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUSHING AN ASSESSMENT CATHETER
Devices systems and methods are disclosed for removing secretions from the lumen of a functional assessment catheter for the lungs. The system comprises a flushing unit configured to deliver a clearing fluid to the lumen of the pulmonary catheter to remove debris, secretions, or moisture from the lumen or sensors.
Mesh caps
The present invention teaches the use of a disc shaped mesh intrasaccular occlusion structure with at least one hole in said disc, with optional supplemental hydrogel, which is designed to implement an endovascular treatment to facilitate saccular aneurysm treatment while ameliorating or eliminating aneurysm recurrence.
Mash cap for ameliorating outpouchings
An embolic device for ameliorating outpouchings, comprising a control element, a catheter element, a delivery microcatheter hypotube, a detachment element, a mesh disc, a distal opening and at least one attached extension arm, wherein said mesh disc further comprises a proximal face and a distal face, said proximal face being opposite of said distal face that are substantially flat. The mesh disc further comprises peripheral lips and a core having a diameter configured to be smaller than the target outpouching, the mesh disc being secured in place by at least one attached extension arm.
Methods for routing a guidewire from a first vessel and through a second vessel in lower extremity vasculature
A catheter system can include a tubular body, and at least one of a targeting system coupled to the tubular body, an expandable member, or a fluid injection port. A method of identifying a bifurcation can include inserting a catheter system into a first vessel, positioning the catheter system at a first location, expanding an expandable member to occlude the first vessel, delivering contrast material so the contrast material pooling proximate to the expandable member, and reviewing a shape of the contrast material in the first vessel under fluoroscopy.
Mesh disc for saccular aneurysms and cover for saccular out-pouching
The present invention teaches the uses of a disc shaped mesh intrasaccular occlusion structure, with optional supplemental hydrogel, which is designed to implement an endovascular treatment to facilitate saccular aneurysm treatment while ameliorating or eliminating aneurysm recurrence.
