Trocar System
A trocar system, having a trocar, a trocar sleeve, an optical channel extending coaxially in the trocar for receiving an optical unit, and a hollow transparent distal tip of the trocar, which can be observed from the interior by means of the optical unit, wherein a working channel extends continuously from the proximal end to the distal end in the trocar and opens into an outlet opening in the region of the distal end, and wherein the inner wall of the working channel is formed at least in an axially continuous sub-region of the circumference thereof by the trocar sleeve.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE NO TOUCH (MINT) PROCEDURE FOR HARVESTING THE GREAT SAPHENOUS VEIN (GSV), ENDOSCOPIC ASVAL TECHNIQUE AND ASSISTED PIN STRIPPING OF SUPERFICIAL GSV, HYDRODISSECTION-BASED ENDOSCOPIC VEIN HARVESTING (EVH) SYSTEM, VENOUS HYDRODISSECTOR, RETRACTOR AND TIP ADAPTER FOR USE WITH FLEXIBLE CYSTOSOPE AND ADAPTED CYSTOSCOPE SYSTEM
A method of atraumatically hydrodissecting and maintaining endothelial function and structure of a vascular target includes forming an incision in tissue proximate one end to realize an insertion space, inserting a distal end of a cannula and/or endoscope into the insertion space and while visualizing the vascular target, ejecting a hydrodissecting fluid from the distal end of the cannula and/or endoscope to substantially separate or dissect the vascular target from the surrounding tissue, while advancing the distal end through the space as it is enlarged by the hydrodissecting fluid, to a distal target end of the vascular target. The hydrodissecting fluid is formulated to minimize or prevent formation of microthrombi in the hydrodissected vascular target. The hydrodissecting fluid is a water-based vascular graft treatment solution and can include any of a balance salt solution, a metallic salt solution, such as Plasma-Lyte® A, a vascular graft treatment solution, such as Duragraft® solution, L-Arginine, aspirin and low molecular weight heparin.
Instrument with a detachable motor drive assembly, telescope and cutter tube assembly
An instrument with a motor drive assembly detachable from a handle assembly and detachable from a gear assembly, where the gear assembly is inside the handle assembly and further the instrument comprising a standard telescope which is detachable from the instrument and a cutter/blade assembly detachable from an outer sheath. In an aspect, an instrument (1) includes a motor drive assembly (2) that is detachable from a handle assembly (3) and detachable from a gear assembly (5), wherein the gear assembly (5) is positioned inside the handle assembly (3), and wherein the motor drive assembly (2) is detachable for the purpose of being reused after cleaning or its replacement.
CARDIAC LEAD EXTRACTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a cardiac lead extraction system, comprising: a handle; an elongated body in communication with said handle; a bendable flexible portion in communication with said elongated body, said bendable flexible portion comprising a first lumen sized and shaped to fit over a cardiac lead; said bendable flexible portion being more flexible than said elongated body; an operational distal end in communication with said bendable flexible portion; where said bendable portion is configured to bend to a bending radius of less than 4 cm while keeping said first lumen open; and where said operational distal end comprises at least one lead extraction assistive tool, said operational distal end comprising a second lumen sized and shaped to fit over a cardiac lead, said second lumen being in communication with said first lumen, and said first lumen comprises an inner diameter of from about 1 mm to about 5 mm.
UTERINE FIBROID TISSUE REMOVAL DEVICE
A uterine fibroid tissue removal device includes an inner tube disposed within an outer tube and configured to be translated and rotated relative to the outer tube, and a separately formed unitary distal tip member attached to a distal end of the inner tube, such that the distal tip member translates and rotates relative to the outer tube along with the inner tube, wherein a distal facing open cutting end of the distal tip member in fluid communication with an axial lumen of the distal tip member translates across a tissue resection window in a sidewall of the outer tube so as to sever tissue extending therethrough, the distal tip member axial lumen being in fluid communication with an axial lumen of the inner tube, wherein an outer diameter of the distal tip member is greater than an outer diameter of the inner tube.
SPECIMEN RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS
A system for morcellating tissue within a body cavity is provided. The system includes a bag guide having a tubular body with proximal and distal ends, the distal end including a flange, a morcellator including an enlarged mouth for receipt within the flange of the bag guide, and a specimen bag receivable between the flange of the bag guide and the enlarged mouth of the morcellator. Also provided is a method of morcellating tissue within a body cavity.
Method for resection of tumors and tissues
A surgical method of removing tissue of a patient includes grasping a surgical cutting instrument. The instrument includes an outer blade including a tubular body, an end cap, and a cutting window defined by an edge on at least the end cap, and an inner blade including a cutting tip, the inner blade co-axially disposed within the outer blade, the cutting tip including a cutting edge extending toward the end cap of the outer blade, wherein the cutting tip is rotatably exposed at the cutting window. The method further includes positioning the cutting window and cutting tip to a target site, supplying fluid through an irrigation pathway to the cutting window and the target site, rotating the cutting tip of the inner blade to selectively cut the tissue, and aspirating fluid and cut tissue.
Systems and methods for permanent female contraception
Medical devices and methods for treating and occluding a female patient's fallopian tubes to provide permanent birth control or sterilization.
SPECIMEN RETRIEVAL BAGS AND SPECIMEN RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS
A specimen bag configured for viewing the contents therein during a surgical procedure is provided. The specimen bag includes an open end and a closed end and defines a cavity. An appendage extends from the bag and defines a channel in communication with the cavity of the bag for receiving a surgical instrument.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TISSUE REMOVAL
Systems and methods for preventing the seeding of cancerous cells during morcellation of a tissue specimen inside a patient's body and removal of the tissue specimen from inside the patient through a minimally-invasive body opening to outside the patient are provided. One system includes a cut-resistant tissue guard removably insertable into a containment bag. The tissue specimen is isolated and contained within the containment bag and the guard is configured to protect the containment bag and surrounding tissue from incidental contact with sharp instrumentation used during morcellation and extraction of the tissue specimen. The guard is adjustable for easy insertion and removal and configured to securely anchor to the body opening. Protection-focused and containment-based systems for tissue removal are provided that enable minimally invasive procedures to be performed safely and efficiently.
