SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS
The present invention discloses a surgical stapler instrument. The surgical stapler instrument comprises a handle assembly having a proximal end and a distal end. A bottom jaw is detachably coupled to the distal end of the handle assembly. The bottom jaw having a staple cartridge surface, configured to eject one or more staples. Further, a top jaw is detachably coupled to the bottom jaw toward the distal end of the handle assembly. The top jaw comprises a staple pocket disposed over an anvil surface of the top jaw and configured to bend the ejected one or more staples and deliver into targeted tissues. An effective friction coefficient (μe) of the staple pocket of the top jaw is lower than the staple cartridge surface of the bottom jaw to achieve optimized stapling.
Replaceable staple cartridges for surgical instruments
A replaceable staple cartridge comprising a cartridge body, staples, and a staple cartridge tray secured to the staple cartridge body is disclosed. The cartridge body comprises a first longitudinal slot, a deck, and first sides extending downwardly from the deck, wherein an edge is defined between each first side and the deck. The cartridge body further comprises staple cavities defined in said deck and recesses defined in the deck proximal to the staple cavities. The staple cartridge tray comprises a bottom comprising a second longitudinal slot defined therein and second sides extending upwardly from the bottom, wherein each second side comprises a proximal end including a projection, wherein each second side is adjacent to a first side, and wherein each projection wraps around an edge and extends downwardly into a recess defined in the deck.
Ultrasonic surgical instrument with movable rigidizing member
A surgical apparatus includes a body assembly, a shaft, an acoustic waveguide, an articulation section, an end effector, and a rigidizing member. The shaft extends distally from the body assembly and defines a longitudinal axis. The acoustic waveguide includes a flexible portion. The articulation section is coupled with the shaft. A portion of the articulation section encompasses the flexible portion of the waveguide. The articulation section includes a first member and a second member. The second member is longitudinally translatable relative to the first member. The end effector includes an ultrasonic blade in acoustic communication with the waveguide. The rigidizing member is configured to selectively engage at least a portion of the articulation section to thereby selectively provide rigidity to the articulation section.
ULTRASONIC DEVICE FOR CUTTING AND COAGULATING
Apparatus and method to permit selective cutting and coagulation required in fine and delicate surgical procedures. The apparatus includes two body members having proximal ends and distal ends with jaw members located adjacent the body member's distal ends. The body members are joined at a pivot located adjacent to the first and second jaw members joining the first and second body members where the body members' rotation about the pivot defines a plane of rotation. The scissors are adapted for selective application of energy to at least one jaw member by a switch located in the plane of rotation.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS WITH TORSION SPINE DRIVE ARRANGEMENTS
Surgical instruments with articulatable surgical end effectors and rotary driven flexible drive members.
DEVICE FOR PLANTAR FASCIA ENDOSCOPY AND SOFT TISSUE RELEASES
A clamping arthroscopic resection tool is provided. The clamping arthroscopic resection tool includes a first jaw and a second jaw positionable on opposing sides of a tissue, a clamping structure which biases the first jaw and the second jaw against the tissue to clamp the tissue between the first jaw and the second jaw, an indicator mark disposed along one of the first jaw and the second jaw at an intermediate location, and a cutting member which is movable between the first jaw and the second jaw and between a non-cutting position and a cutting position to cut the tissue up to the indicator mark.
Ultrasonic surgical instrument with articulating end effector having a curved blade
An apparatus comprises a body assembly and a shaft extending distally therefrom. The shaft defines a longitudinal axis. The apparatus further comprises an acoustic waveguide and an articulation section coupled with the shaft. A portion of the articulation section encompasses a flexible portion of the waveguide. The articulation section further comprises first member and a second member that is longitudinally translatable relative to the first member. The apparatus further comprises an end effector including an ultrasonic blade in acoustic communication with the waveguide. A distal portion the ultrasonic blade is disposed in a first direction away from the longitudinal axis at a bend angle. The end effector also includes a clamp arm that is coupled with the first member and the second member, and an articulation drive assembly operable to drive articulation of the articulation section to thereby deflect the end effector from the longitudinal axis in the first direction.
Control end of surgical instrument and surgical instrument having the control end
The present disclosure discloses a control end of a surgical instrument, which comprises a housing and a power assembly, the housing comprises a first body and a second body, a first cavity for accommodating the power assembly is provided between the first body and the second body, and the power assembly is detachably mounted in the first cavity.
Grasping treatment device
A jaw of a grasping treatment device includes a non-contact portion having a space between it and a distal treatment section in a state where an abutment portion abuts on the distal treatment section, and the non-contact portion includes a wall surface portion inclined so that it is extended toward a distal treatment section side as it is extended away from the abutment portion. A movement regulating portion is provided in a region of the non contact portion located closer to the abutment portion than a continuous surface which forms an edge of the non-contact portion. The movement regulating portion located in the first wall surface portion regulates a movement of a grasp object along the jaw axis direction.
ARTICULATING ULTRASONIC SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS
An ultrasonic surgical instrument includes a housing, an elongated shaft extending distally from the housing, an end effector extending distally from the elongated shaft, and a transducer assembly disposed at least partially within the elongated shaft. The end effector includes a jaw and an ultrasonic blade. The jaw is configured to pivot relative to the ultrasonic blade from an open position to a clamping position for clamping tissue therebetween. The transducer assembly is distally-spaced from the housing and includes proximal and distal transducers interconnected by a connector. The ultrasonic blade is connected to the distal transducer such that ultrasonic energy produced by the proximal transducer is transmitted along the connector and the distal transducer to the ultrasonic blade and such that ultrasonic energy produced by the distal transducer is transmitted to the ultrasonic blade.
