A catheter, a kit and a method of using the catheter for removing a thrombus from a blood vessel in a mammal. The catheter includes a tubular body with a hollow interior, an exterior surface, a proximal end, and a distal end and a plurality of protrusions extending upwardly from the exterior surface, wherein each protrusion has an aperture. The distal end of the catheter is inserted into the blood vessel and a suction is applied to the proximal end of the catheter to aspirate the thrombus from the blood vessel. The kit includes the catheter, a suction device and a mechanism for controlling the suction flow.

Surgical disc removal tool

A tissue removal device including customizable tips and method of use thereof. The tissue removal device may include an outer shaft having a removable tip attached to the outer shaft and a rotatable inner shaft extending through the outer shaft and having a rotatable cutting portion extending from the inner shaft. Disc material may be cut and removed from a surgical area using an auger-like and/or suction mechanism to facilitate the transfer of removed tissue away from the surgical area.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR REPAIRING CARTILAGE DEFECTS

The present disclosures describe devices and methods to repair cartilage defects using arthroscopic surgical methods. The disclosed devices include a cannula assembly including a cannula body, a dam seal sub-assembly disposed proximally from the cannula body, and an obturator inserted coaxially through both the cannula body and the dam seal sub-assembly; an articulated arthroscopic cutting tool; a ring curette; a square curette; a rake curette; a matrix shuttle delivery device for delivering a cell-seeded support matrix including chondrocytes; and an applicator tool.

TREATMENT OF ISCHAEMIA

An endovascular apparatus for crossing through an obstruction in a blood vessel comprises an elongate endovascular element such as a wire. The element has a proximal section, a distal tip section of smaller diameter than the proximal section; and a distally-tapering intermediate section extending between the proximal and distal tip sections . The apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transducer, mechanically coupled to the proximal section of the element for ultrasonically activating the element, hence exciting the distal tip section to facilitate crossing through the obstruction. A catheter surrounds the element, leaving at least part of the distal tip section of the element protruding distally beyond a distal end of the catheter.

ENDOVASCULAR APPARATUS

An endovascular apparatus for crossing through an obstruction in a blood vessel comprises: an elongate endovascular element such as a wire; an ultrasonic transducer, mechanically coupled to the endovascular element for ultrasonically exciting a distal tip portion thereof to facilitate the crossing through the obstruction, and one or more damping features, mechanically coupled to the endovascular element to attenuate lateral displacement of the endovascular element at positions away from the distal tip portion.

Adjustable ring stripper for more efficiently and effectively removing plaque from arteries

An adjustable loop stripper for stretching an arterial wall outwardly as plaque is excavated inwardly.

INFECTED-TISSUE EXTRACTION DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

A device for removing infected tissue from a patient is provided. The device includes a handle body attached to a curette. The handle body comprises first and second channels extending therethrough. The curette comprises third and fourth channels extending therethrough. The first and third channels are disposed in fluid communication. The second and fourth channels are disposed in fluid communication. The curette comprises a generally cup-shaped curette head having a scraping edge at one end. The third and fourth channels comprise openings disposed proximate or within the curette head. Methods of using the device to remove infected tissue from a patient are disclosed.

Flexible Bipolar Sheath

A medical instrument sheath including an elongated hollow tube having a wall comprised of polymeric material; and at least one electrical lead embedded inside the wall, wherein the at least one electrical lead is configured to be connected with a respective electrode disposed in a member located inside the sheath and extending from a distal end of the sheath.

Systems and methods for bone and tissue harvesting

Tools, devices and systems that include a generally cylindrical, hollow shaft, and a suction canister are provided with advantageous interconnectivity features and functions that enable ease of manufacturing, lowered manufacturing costs, and allow for a platform of different shaft embodiments and canister embodiments that may be manufactured in different combinations to form an array of unique instruments. The interconnectivity may be irreversible or reversible, and the connection features maintain an air tight seal between the components. Tools, devices and systems are also provided that include collection functionality that can be employed to manipulate the volume of tissue collected while using a tissue collection feature/function. This may be undertaken to restrict total volume of the collection chamber in a way that allows for continuous suction flow rate to take place while collecting the desired amount of tissue. Containing the tissue to a pre-set volume can enable a user to effectively ascertain the volume of tissue collected.
