ATHERECTOMY DEVICES AND METHODS
Rotational atherectomy devices and systems can remove or reduce stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating one or more abrasive elements within the vessel. The abrasive elements are attached to a distal portion of an elongate flexible drive shaft that extends from a handle assembly that includes a driver for rotating the drive shaft. In particular implementations, the handle assembly encapsulates an electric motor assembly, a pump assembly, and a controller assembly.
Medical Cutting Assembly and Volume Reduction Catheter System
A medical cutting assembly (10) and a volume reduction catheter system are provided. The medical cutting assembly (10) includes a cutter head (101) and a limiting member (102) connected to the cutter head (101), where the cutter head (101) includes a delivery portion (1012); the limiting member (102) includes a decomposing portion (1021); and when the cutter head (101) and the limiting member (102) rotate relative to each other, the decomposing portion (1021) extends through the delivery portion (1012). The volume reduction catheter system includes a cutting section and a transfer section. The delivery portion (1012) can transfer excess tissue cut by the cutter head (101) from a distal end to a proximal end. The limiting member (102) is provided with the decomposing portion (1021). When the cutter head (101) and the limiting member (102) rotate relative to each other, the decomposing portion (1021) extends through the delivery portion (1012), such that the decomposing portion (1021) rotating at a high speed further cuts and decomposes the cut tissue in the delivery portion (1012) into smaller tissues, so as to achieve improved decomposition of the tissue in order to facilitate the subsequent discharge of the excess tissue.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING A VESSEL IN A SUBJECT
A method of treating a vessel in a subject comprises the steps of advancing a device distally across a treatment zone in a vessel, wherein the device comprises an elongated catheter having a lumen and a distal end, and a radially expansive treatment element disposed in the lumen and configured for axial movement relative to the catheter; deploying the radially expansive treatment element proud of the distal end of the catheter to radially expand and circumferentially impress against the vessel lumen at a distal end of the treatment zone; and withdrawing the deployed radially expansive treatment element proximally along the treatment zone with the treatment element circumferentially impressed against the vessel lumen to mechanically and circumferentially denude the treatment zone of the vessel. The radially expansive treatment element is then recaptured into the lumen of the catheter, before the device is withdrawn from the treated vessel.
INTRAVASCULAR TREATMENT OF VASCULAR OCCLUSION AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Systems and methods for removal of thrombus from a blood vessel in a body of a patient are disclosed herein. The method can include: providing a thrombus extraction device including a proximal self-expanding member formed of a unitary fenestrated structure, a distal substantially cylindrical portion formed of a net-like filament mesh structure, and an inner shaft member connected to a distal end of the net-like filament mesh structure; advancing a catheter constraining the thrombus extraction device through a vascular thrombus, deploying the thrombus extraction; retracting the thrombus extraction device to separate a portion of the thrombus from the vessel wall and to capture the portion of the thrombus within the net-like filament mesh structure; and withdrawing the thrombus extraction device from the body to remove thrombus from the patient.
In particular implementations, individual abrasive elements are attached to the drive shaft at differing radial angles in comparison to each other (e.g., configured in a helical array). The centers of mass of the abrasive elements can define a path that spirals around the drive shaft in a direction that is opposite to the wind direction of filars of the drive shaft, and opposite to the direction of rotation. In some embodiments, a concentric abrasive tip member is affixed to and extends distally from a distal-most end of the drive shaft.
Endovascular devices and methods for exploiting intramural space
Devices and methods for the treatment of chronic total occlusions are provided. One disclosed embodiment comprises a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method includes providing a first intravascular device having a distal portion with a concave side, inserting the first device into the vascular lumen, positioning the distal portion in the vascular wall, and orienting the concave side of the distal portion toward the vascular lumen.
