INTRAVASCULAR CATHETER HAVING AN EXPANDABLE INCISING PORTION AND ABRASIVE SURFACES
An intravascular catheter device for modifying tissue located within a blood vessel and methods of using the same are provided. An expandable portion is secured to a distal end of a flexible catheter tube and is operable between a first position and a second position where the expandable portion is enlarged. An incising element extends lengthwise along an outer surface of the expandable portion and is configured to create axially extending slits in the tissue when the expandable portion is placed in the second position and moved axially through the blood vessel. An abrasive is provided at the outer surface of the expandable portion for abrading the tissue when the expandable portion is placed in the second position and move axially through the blood vessel.
Devices for removing obstructing materials from blood vessels
A medical device includes a shaft; and a cage coupled to the shaft, the cage comprising elongated cutting members configured to cut material(s) inside a blood vessel lumen, the cage including a first end and a second end, wherein one or both of the first end and second end are moveable along a longitudinal axis of the shaft to change a distance between them; wherein the cage has a naturally expanded configuration with a first cross sectional dimension; wherein the cage is collapsible to form a collapsed configuration in response to an increase in the distance between the first end and the second end of the cage; and wherein the medical device further comprises a control configured to apply a radial force to expand the cage beyond its naturally expanded configuration with a second cross sectional dimension that is larger than the first cross sectional dimension.
Methods for preparing a zone of attention within a vascular system for subsequent angioplasty with an intravascular catheter device having an expandable incising portion and an integrated embolic protection device
An intravascular device is provided having a catheter tube and an expandable portion including a plurality of struts capable of being moved between an open and a closed position. An incising element is provided on at least one of the struts and has a sharpened edge for creating an incision in atherosclerotic material located within a blood vessel when the expandable portion is in the opened position. An embolic protection device may be integrated with some or all of the expandable portion.
THROMBECTOMY APPARATUSES AND METHODS
Methods and apparatuses for removing material (e.g., clot) from within a body, including inverting thrombectomy apparatuses. These methods and apparatuses may include methods and apparatuses for reusing portion of the devices, method and apparatuses for loading and reloading the inverting thrombectomy apparatuses, and methods and apparatuses for improving and enhancing the ability of the inverting thrombectomy apparatuses to remove clot.

In particular, described herein are expandable scraper devices that may be used in conjunction with the inverting thrombectomy apparatuses descried herein, or on their own.
Atherectomy devices and methods
Rotational atherectomy devices and systems can remove or reduce stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating one or more abrasive elements within the vessel. The abrasive elements are attached to a distal portion of an elongate flexible drive shaft that extends from a handle assembly that includes a driver for rotating the drive shaft. In particular implementations, the handle assembly encapsulates an electric motor assembly, a pump assembly, and a controller assembly.
Clot Removal Methods and Devices with Multiple Independently Controllable Elements
A clot removal device for removal of an occlusion from a lumen in a patient's body is provided. The clot removal device has a lumen, an elongated member positioned within the lumen and extending axially from a proximal end to a distal end of the lumen, a handle attached to the proximal end of the lumen, a first expandable member positioned along a length of the elongated member, a second expandable member positioned along the length of the elongated member, wherein the second expandable member is distal to the first expandable member relative to the handle. The handle has at least one actuation mechanism and at least one of the following applies: a) the first expandable member is coupled to the at least one actuation mechanism and is configured to be moveable relative to the second expandable member upon manipulation of the at least one actuation mechanism; b) the first expandable member is configured to mechanically expand or contract by manipulating the at least one actuation mechanism; c) the second expandable member is coupled to the at least one actuation mechanism and is configured to be moveable relative to the first expandable member upon manipulation of the at least one actuation mechanism; or d) the second expandable member is configured to mechanically expand or contract by manipulating the at least one actuation mechanism.

Introducer sheaths, thrombus collection devices, and associated methods
A sheath comprises an elastomeric tube having a self-expanding scaffold coupled to a wall. The scaffold can expand to a diameter larger than the tube diameter to provide an enlarged distal opening. An aspiration catheter has a balloon and an aspiration port so that occlusive material can be removed from a blood vessel by drawing the balloon through the vessel while simultaneously aspirating through the port.
