SURGICAL INSTRUMENT INTENDED TO RECEIVE A CUTTING TOOL IN A REMOVABLE MANNER, SURGICAL KIT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Surgical instrument intended to receive a cutting tool in a removable manner, surgical kit and method for manufacturing the same are described. A surgical instrument (1) intended to receive a cutting tool in a removable manner includes a receiving member (7), including a body (8) provided with a means (10) for receiving the tool, which is designed to evolve between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration, and a locking/unlocking device (14) comprising a first element (15) linked to the receiving member (7) by a helical connection. The locking/unlocking device (14) comprises a second element (22) linked to the receiving member (7) by a sliding connection, so that a relative rotation of the first (15) and second (22) elements results in a relative translation of the receiving member (7) and the second element (22) thereby allowing controlling the receiving means (10).
SHARPS BLADE APPLICATOR AND STORAGE DEVICE
A device for the application and storage of a sharps device is disclosed here in with the ability to re-sterilize and reuse this device on multiple occasions. This device enables the user to access and store the blade in a safe manner where the chances of accidental puncture are greatly reduced. The device enables the user to store the sharps blade in the device in such a manner that will allow the user to autoclave or sterilize the storage device and the blade at the same time. The device is designed for multiple uses over a wide range of different blades, such as the myriad of surgical blades and blades used in the hobby and crafts arena using X-Acto knife style of blades. When a singular device is used for the storage, application and re-loading of sharps, the user is more familiar with the operation of the device, which leads to more comfort of the user in dealing with sharps blades. Also since the operating room has minimal space to store the necessary tools and devices, when a single device can have multiple uses it is advantageous and space saving.

A SHARPS DISLODGER
The present invention relates a sharps dislodger (100), comprising: a wall (105) having an opening (102) for receiving a blade of a medical sharp; characterized by: at least a pair of static spokes (103) disposed below the opening having a slit (104) at one end; wherein the slit is slanted at 30angles for receiving the blade; whereby the pair of static spokes (103) breaks the blade with handle as the blade moves upright to 90 angles and to remove from the handle.

Waste container and method for using the same
A waste container has a first part having a first opening, and a second part. Fastening means are arranged to fasten and seal the second part to the first opening. Sealing surfaces together provide a radial press seal around the first opening. A snap lock of the cooperating fastening means is activated by the second part moving in a first direction in relation to the first part into the fastened position. Depth-controlling elements limit the movement of the second part in relation to the first part in the first direction beyond the point of activation. The first part and the second cap part are both made from a plastic material comprising at least 30% by volume wooden fibers. The use of such a waste container is also described.

Scalpel blade container
The invention resides in a scalpel blade container for containing removed scalpel blades. The container has a hollow body having an internal space with a first section in which a scalpel blade remover is able to be positioned and a second section in which removed scalpel blades can be contained. A backflow preventer is provided that separates the first section and the second section and allows removed scalpel blades to pass from the first section to the second section but prevents removed scalpel blades from passing from the second section back into the first section.
